The human body also isn't designed to do all that movement at that height. Torn ACLs, ruptured achilles, that guy is gonna be Michael Porter and Zion all over again. Greg Oden is calling his name.

He'll be the second greatest player ever.

Then he better get on Lebron's illegal steroid/HGH regimen.

In fairness, Zion's lower body mechanics are REALLY suspect along with an unnatural amount of weight and force on all his joints. Victor does seem to move in a natural and fluid way.

Yeah, he has a chance if he is allowed to play like Durant. Maybe he's good enough for that.

How is he on defense? Can he run? Can he guard perimeter players, because that will have a lot to do with how much abuse that slender frame takes.

Tell Kareem that a skinny big guy can't last. And he did it in the era where there was true banging going on in the post area
Kareem was not a slight build, he was not Shaq or even Wilt, but he was solid.
The kid reminds me of Sam Bowie in a lot of ways - he better say his prayers that Portland is not his destination.

Twisting and turning on such a tall frame takes it's toll on the lower half of the body. That guy looks like he does a lot of that. All it takes is a slight bump to bend that lower body in a way that breaks something. A foot in the wrong place as he comes down puts him out for the season as it does for many, but with him, with those tendons being stretched that much more, he's in for a world of injuries. At 7'4", I have a hard time thinking any team would put him anywhere other than C, so I don't think KD is all that good a comparison.
A little more than what I was expecting.   My opinion is when Green leaves the Warriors he will have a quick decline.   GS is perfect for him.  When he goes to another team, it will not work nearly as well as it does in GS.

That's a freakin sucker punch too. No words should ever cause that in a person, especially not in a teammate. Also, I agree with your take on him at his next team. This puts him in Marcus Morris territory to me. I thought he was better than that, at least to his own teammates.

While I'm at it, I'll talk to Isaac and JJJ and KP, the guys doing it in this version of the NBA.

Prior to him turning into this 30ft fadeaway scoring machine most scouts had his defense>offense. Once in a decade rim protection and shot blocking potential combined with unnatural foot speed for a player of his size. Thing is that with his superhuman wingspan he can give up some space and still contest everything and even if a player can beat him it allows him to recover and contest.
Second greatest player ever!

I am NOT arguing for Victor's durability. 7'4" is ALWAYS a red flag. But I am just saying I feel like Victor's body and movements don't scream injury to me.

Yep.  It will be interesting to see how his frame fills out as he matures.  He's really fluid.  I just worry about him taking and absorbing normal NBA contact.

Welp, if it's a problem, it won't be ours.

You never know.

Right?? If Luka and Dinwiddie run into each other during one of the first 10 games, I can see this thing becoming a rocket straight to the bottom.

Green knocked the ever living crap out of him. If he was any other player on that team not named Curry/Klay/Wiggins he'd be shut down and shipped off for whatever. That'd be the right thing to do.

Very interested in seeing what the Warriors do.
