The Phoenix bench once again played like they're paid.

Now that Beal has sprained his ankle and will likely miss a few games, Phoenix will again have to hope someone steps up. This does not appear likely given their roster. The drop-off in talent is significant and likely to be a problem all season. Starters will need to play more minutes just to be in contention for a playoff spot.

Well I didn't watch besides a few minutes but Orlando got run out of the building.  Not sure if Issac had any part of this.

Jalen is so freaking good.   One of the things I am happy about is with our strong offseason, I don't need to wake up every day and see how good Jalen is playing and be depressed.  Ha.    A sneaky thing between Jalen and Kyrie though is availability.   Jalen typically will be available each night.   That has always been a concern with Kyrie (basketball only).

I wonder who the Knicks target in the next year or so.   While Randle has been good.  I think him and picks will be the primary trade package.   Is that KAT this offseason if the Wolves fall short?  It feels like if the Knicks can add a top 20 player, they may be a team that you could get serious about.   Getting that player is the tricky part.   Also one who fits with Jalen too.
OKC beat the Nuggets. SGA with the game winner with 1.1s left on the clock. Holmgren with 9 blocks. Crazy game. Jokic hasn't been quite as dominant in the last few games. Dealing with nagging lower back pain and right wrist inflammation. Touch in the 5-15ft range hasn't been on the GOAT level that we saw in the last two seasons. Murray is in and out of the lineup with injuries.
Keegan Murray with 47pts, 12/15 from 3 against the Jazz.

Looking at this Boston vs Orlando game today…….the Orlando starters are hanging in there. Their bench is weak though. They could be really good with a move or two. Black is a winner. Paulo, Wagner, Suggs all legit. Bitadze in the running with DJJ and Exum as best mínimum signings of the offseason

Keegan Murray is another young wing to watch as he develops. Kings picked a good one.
Memphis needed to let Lofton Jr go because they want to keep Biyombo

Kind of a no brainer you think?

He has nba talent but defense is always going to be a problem

The big issue is his weight though.  He had a touch of success in summer league/G League and then added to the roster at the end of last season.  Supposedly he came into camp out of shape this year.  This is a major pet peeve for me.  Especially someone like him.   If he is not going to take this serious, NBA teams shouldn't take him seriously.   He has a good 40 pounds plus changing his body away.   He is always going to be big, but he carries way to much weight to be considered a serious athlete right now.  Hopefully he figures it out.
Jordan Poole got this:

Tank MVP. In a way that's a valuable asset.
Clippers are putting it all together now. They won they're 8th straight blowing out the slumping Pacers, 151-127. Kawhi looks like Raptors Kawhi which is scary for the rest of the league. So far I was wrong about Harden. After a few bumps when they first got him, he's fit in pretty good. If they can stay healthy, they will be a factor.

Looks to me like our commentator lit a fire under Harden. That's just great.

Yeah, their box score last night looked amazing with 4 of their 5 starters putting up huge numbers.   They are really rolling right now.

Whatever they do though now, it not really important (besides not getting in the play-in).  They need to do it in the playoffs.   Can they stay healthy?  And can Harden play to his talent level in the playoffs.

As for Harden, he is playing well.  If he is hitting those threes, there is not much you can do.   I think though, you have to contest his threes and not put him on the line.   Force him to drive and finish at the rim.   He doesn't feel comfortable doing this.  You just can't fall for his tricks and put him on the lane.  If he drives, play the pass and contest the shot in the paint.
The West is crazy. Minny is red hot. Now, both New Orleans and LAC are on hot streaks. Going to .500 or slightly below to right back in the thick of things. Dallas has a tough stretch with a limited roster. Tomorrow against LAC, Kyrie, Lively, Green and Maxi are all out. Ouch.

Well when I typed this, New Orleans was up big in Morant’s return.  Looks like Memphis came back and won the game.

Morant had the game winner at the buzzer. 34 in his first game back

Shows how much of a difference he makes for them.
