In some ways I will be more upset if Kyrie gets to weasel himself to his preferred location.    Maybe LAL is the only suitor, but it just doesn't seem fair that he gets his wish here just because.

It would be pretty funny it was the Nets turn to tell Kyrie not to play.

Could turn into the worst contract in the league in no time. Portland must feel really good about Lillard´s longterm health.
That is an unfathomable amount of money in the last year for a 36 year old.

I need a mental reset for NBA salaries. I remember when the cap was only 60 mil not just 10 years ago and now we have 1 player earning that entire amount.

That will simply make it funnier when he blows up the Lakers
So $60 plus million per year is the going rate now for a star. I don’t think Dame is transcendent, but he’s a solid all star caliber player, though on the downside of his career. Brunson’s deal looks better all the time. He’s really not getting anything close to the new salary standard for an all star.  I’d definitely prefer the younger Brunson for $26 million per over Dame at $60+ million.  Luka may be eyeing close to $100 million for at least one year of his next contract.  These numbers are getting huge.  Lock your players up now.  Don’t screw around thinking $20 million is a big deal salary. It’s just barely upper middle class, if that, for where the NBA is headed.

It’s long been said that the stars are underpaid for the revenue they generate for a team. The contracts are now reflecting that revenue…for the stars. JB isn’t a star.

He is a perfect compliment to a star.
NYK is stupid to go after him without having one, and the Mavs are stupid to let him go.

I'd say he's the perfect compliment to the complement of a star.

Mavs were stupid in creating a situation where he was able to be let go for nothing, but I don't think they're stupid for not paying him like he was a star.
