Forbes also over estimated their own ability to keep publishing so I’m not surprised at this.

I have heard it may go above 4.   Maybe by a good margin.

BTW, Bill Simmons had a podcast last week where he talked about the franchises.   He said 8 really matter and then there are everyone else.   The Lakers, Celtics and the usual were in there, but he said Dallas was one of those 8.  That sort of surprised me.    I will take it though.  He brought this up as the Suns was one of the 8 as well, and he was talking how rarely these franchises come available.

Yep, Luka is probably either already or on his way to being the biggest basketball brand in the world. If he’s on the roster, your team matters. Cuban should think about selling while he has Luka to prop up the value of his franchise.

Nominated for the best line of the 2022 off/pre-season.  Could be re-nominated the next few years.

Outstanding...
Getting my first look at the two predicted top picks for next years draft.  All I have to say is hope the East have the first two picks next year.

Interestingly, every pick that has a realistic chance at the top 2 is owned by the original team -- no one should end up trading their way to one of these picks.

So it will take a combo of tanksmanship and luckiness to get one of those guys.

I suspect tanking will start much earlier than usual, and I'm guessing that teams will MUCH prefer to be in the top 7-8 lottery instead of a dismal play-in berth. This will be an interesting test of whether the re-weighted lottery and the play-in do anything to stop the chase for the top pick in a year when the prize is so great.

That´s what I have always argued, when it comes to the whole "he ain´t ready" rookie argument. If you cannot play your rookie in games against teams with inferior talent  that will actively try to not win games, when are you going to bloody them?

These are the Jaden Hardy games this year. He should be getting 10-15 minutes in those games until proven otherwise, i.e. losses piling up against these tankers.

Funny thing is I still don´t believe in Wembanyama due to the historical evidence of size vs. health, and therefore I would have had Henderson above him, but I think Dariq Whitehead might end up better than both of them.
