He looks fantastic playing next to Holford.

even then KP is more involved in the offense while Horford is the one spotting up outside which you don't exactly want Powell to do
Ayton with 4 points and 5 fouls in his Portland debut.

Houston got blown out by Orlando. Jalen Green and Jabari Smith looks like busts.

Chicago also had a players only meeting after only 1 game. Sheesh.
Kyle Lowry, 32 mins tonight... 0-1 FG.

Elsewhere around the league (besides KP looking really good)…

The Bruce Brown and Max Strus signings look good.

Issac and C. Anthony led a strong bench effort in Orlando.

PJ Washington took more shots than any of his teammates in a win last night.

We reportedly shied away from Brogdan in the past because of his injury history.  He might look really good here as a third ball-handler (though I want to see more Exum minutes first).

Who is this H. Barnes guy in Sacramento?  33 points on 16 shots?

Parity is going to be a big theme in the NBA this season.

Reunion Friday is coming.  DFS (bench player), D. Smith (bench player) and Dinwiddie (only took 3 shots) all come home.  Cam Thomas with 36 last night off the bench (but he missed the game winner).  It will be interesting to see how we defend him given how Tre Jones just lit us up last night.
In an effort to add to the list of things around the league last night:

Cade Cunningham looks ready to have a HUGE year. He was incredible last night.

I really like their collection of young talent:

Cunningham
Ivey
Thompson Twin
Duren
Wiseman
Hayes
Stewart
Bagley

Can we get Wiseman from them? I doubt we could pull Duren or Stewart, but i'd like to try. Either of them getting Center minutes would be an upgrade to Kleber or Powell

Wiseman would be easy considering he's not in their rotation.  He's also not in their rotation for a reason...

Don't want Wiseman. He's been a priority project for two teams now, with lots of chances, but he's definitely a bust and probably a complete waste of time. He should be very available in the summer for the minimum salary, but so far not even worth that.
i trust your opinions. I'm not so sure he's a bust just yet.

When he received playing time last year he put up numbers. He's behind two really good big men in Detroit. One DNP doesn't mean he's out of their rotation.

He wouldn't have that problem here. He would be here for 15-18 minutes a night to spell Lively. He is better than Powell. There is no debate on that.

Wiseman was actually good for them last season. Not sure what is the reason for zero minutes this game. However, their centre for the future is clearly Duren. Their GM has a weird "fetish" for centers as he is collecting a bunch every season.
[Wojnarowski] ESPN Sources: Indiana Pacers coach Rick Carlisle has agreed on a multi-year contract extension. Carlisle — who’s nearing his 900th NBA victory — returned to the Pacers as head coach in 2021 and now will continue to lead franchise’s rebuild on a new deal.

Happy for him, and I like that team they're building, too.
the Bucks are as scary as advertised

Dame dropped 39 in his 1st game..Philly was in the fight though, even without that bum Harden to lose by a point. Maxey is their future star, he had 31. And Oubre had 27 off the bench.
Dame is a monster. The Bucks are terrifying.

Side note, Lakers are getting whooped by the Bookerless, Beal-less, Suns. Big yikes.

That makes me happy.

Still early, Lakers coming back. KD and Gordon carrying the Suns.
How in the hell is Lebron running coast to coast like that in year 21?
