Memphis is off to a rough start this season. New Orleans showing some signs of progress.

Surprised IND is giving CLE such a good fight tonight.

I'm actually surprised Memphis has looked this shaky but I suppose no Ja, Adams, and with JJJ lack of reliability, they are stretched thin.

CLE has no Mitchell tonight or Allen tonight.

Oh, well in that case I’m surprised they’re giving IND such a tough fight.

It's early, but Detroit looks pretty good even with Bogie and Morris still out. They seem to have improved on defense. The Thompson twin has been fabulous. They are physical and play big, but they turn the ball over too much.

Cunningham needs to work on his handles but otherwise he is almost Luka-like. If he can be their "Luka-light" and Duren continues on his prime Dwight Howard trajectory the Pistons could make some noise in the east.

The Memphis Grizzlies are planning to sign center Bismack Biyombo, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. Team is able to sign Biyombo via exemption after fifth game of Ja Morant’s suspension. Biyombo brings rim protection (1.4 blocks per game last season) with Steven Adams out.

I still think Valanciunas makes the most since, if NOP is still looking to move him.  IMO, he's better than Adams (among the most overrated players in the league).

They are definitely a big surprise. I'm still not sold on the Thompson twin but Cade has taken a step and Duren looks legit.

Play in hopeful is a real expectation for them this season.
Nuggets aren't messing around. One dominant win after another.

Side note, Cason Wallace has looked amazing. I think he's only missed 2 shots in 4 games.

Prior to the draft I would have picked him over Lively but so far this seems like a good deal for both teams.

Capela with a shaqtin moment. Perhaps trying to lower his value even more ?

He has had a couple of ROUGHHHHHHH games so far this year. Mavs might have dodged yet another bullet by not being able to complete a deal.

Have you watched either game? Other than the two clips of bad plays, have you even paid attention to him? After 2 games you’re now projecting his season? He didn’t look like he had a very bad game the first outing, we went crazy about Lively (and gave the Dirkie to him) for having the exact same counting stats on slightly less efficiency compared to Cap’s first game. Not sure this conclusion should be even in thought range yet, not to mention he would have a completely different experience (better or maybe even worse) on a different team. I just think this is waaaay overreaction and am surprised it’s from you being one of the ones who actually saw his fit for this team even if you didn’t like the trade package.
Haven’t seen the Rockets yet but Bullock is around 10 minutes a game. Houston has a lot of bodies expecting minutes so his minutes may go down as the season progresses. I am not saying he is done but it doesn’t look great right now. Crazy how a year ago he was considered a key part of our success heading into the season. Houston is 0-3 now.

In other former Mavs news, McGee and Wood are playing against each other tonight. Both in low roles
Off the bench but wood looks pretty efficient per the stats.

In a potential Mavs summer target, Ayton is averaging 8 points per game
For the 0-3 blazers. Still very early but not great so far.

Yes, I’ve watched all of one game and part of another. ROOOOOUGH.

I was driving the Capela bandwagon, but I have the ability to change my mind as time passes. So, yeah, my opinion will change if his play does.

No, it was clearly not a good idea to trade anything of value for Capela. Didn’t think it was when I wanted him, and now I feel even more sure with Lively’s strong start. Great, great job on the Mavs’ part not to make that move, so far.
Mavs luck out a lot on not making deals they want to make. Does that happen to other teams? I dunno. But if anybody truly tried to land Harden this offseason, I’m thinking them.
