Having three stars is nice. If they actually play. Phoenix registered another loss, this time against Philly.

Is Morris injured or not in Philly plans? The only player from LAC deal, that hasn't played.

Kelly Oubre Jr is looking like a great signing for Philly.  He stayed on the FA market until just before training camp, nobody reached out but he's really played well and is even starting for the 4-1 Sixers.
Lakers with a bad loss against the Magic. Would've lost both games against them if not for a late game collapse by the young talent the Magic have.
Ayton is having a DPOY-like start of the season. Top 5 in steals, rebounds, D-Rating and DWS. Blazers are 3-3.
Beal hasn't played a single regular season game. Booker only two games. Nurkic is shooting sub 40% FG. Suns are 2-4.
Sounds like Knicks fans are done with Randle. This is not a good look.

Booker out again with a calf injury (Beal as well) in their game against Detroit today.

Watching that video, Randle was waiting for his man to come down the court, who was non-chalantly walking down the court too. Sure he could have been more invested in the defense, but fact of the matter is Dame did Dame things.
We should at least have tried, when it was obvious by Christmas that we were trash. Wembanyama and Luka would have been 5+ Championships.
Ausar Thompson nearly posted a 5x5 tonight. 16pts, 9rbs, 4ast, 4stls, 4blks. Has any rookie ever done that?

Sure but his man is Giannis who isn't a real 3 point threat and if he hustled back he could have helped pack the paint and then still picked up his man once he entered the play.

This is a really rough look.  When we talk about the Mavs needs, we tend to come back to needing a bigger wing who can play big as well.  We throw around names like Jerami Grant and Pascal Siakam but with things trending this way with the Knicks get ready for some Randle coming home to Dallas rumors sprouting up...

Just some additional context to the Randle thing.

Just like Luka, he's got to learn not to react emotionally when he doesn't get the call, or doesn't get the ball, or thinks someone has offended him.  Thick skin, focus on doing things that win games.

Randle is welcome here! Would have to get used to not getting the ball though.
Clippers lost by 14 in Hardens debut, scored just 97 points against NY. Paul George could be a nice target for Mavs in the summer. Or Kawhi, since I am dreaming Smile

Houston picking up after bad start with what looks like 3 consecutive wins. Dismantling Sacramento by 40 points at the end of third.

Looks like Philadelphia has some underutilized bench players they might like to trade.

They will trade them for sure, just not to Mavs, unless Kyrie comes on the table. But, some of those guy are prime release candidates, if (when?) they get traded. A guy like Batum would be really great for Mavs as a buyout candidate.

Batum will stick surely. And Morey is a Roco fan, he goes nowhere i assume. Batum had the 2nd best on/off last year on the Clippers behind Kawhi. Clippers going to feel that loss, especially if Kawhi/PG going to miss games. The roster is going to cause problems incase of Kawhi or P. George injuries, because the wing position looking thin. Had Batum/Covington before.

Not saying Batum > Harden but he might be the better fit due to being the better off the ball player and better defender.

Now Plumlee is injured. Before they could go all "wings/forwards" and just go small. Now they lack size even to do that in the mins without Zubac.

Clippers might be screwed barring a trade Big Grin
So Boston gets their first loss of the year. I am telling you Minnesota is good. KAT only scored 7 points last night. The issue with them though is can they do it in the playoffs.

Clippers lost their first game with Harden and Plumlee is injured, as mentioned above. Will be fascinating to see how they look as the season progresses.

Lakers lose to Miami. I heard they ran their final play for Cam Reddish. AD was injured and didn't finish the game. Wood plays 30 minutes.

Cam Thomas scores 45 in a loss to the Bucks.

Time to be worried about Sacramento? They were such a good story last year but with their moves this summer I think it was fair to expect a regression. But losing back to back to Houston?

Jazz also appear to be regression from their hot start last year.

Thunder with a nice win against the Hawks.

Jordan Hawkins with 31 for the Pelicans in a loss to the Nuggets. Nuggets appear to be playing with teams right now. Can play their B game and win against most teams.
^ I happened to switch onto NBA TV for the ending of that game.

Anthony Edwards is the real deal. He took over. He was locking down Tatum on defense and getting buckets on the other end. Playing with 100% effort.

McDaniels and Naz Reid are good players. Whenever they trade KAT, if they nail the return, they’re gonna be a problem. I wonder how coveted KAT is around the league. He has such bad body language/energy. I’m with Jimmy Butler. Dude is soft.

Yeah Minny is scary and I'm with you. Once Ant can get more consistent he's going to be a huge problem.

I also think KAT is a soft loser and any team that trades for him are dumb. (I'm probably going to eat my words cause I think there's a nonzero chance the Mavs get for KAT in the future)

Sacramento was playing last three games without Fox (injury).
