Kings almost pulled it out.  They are really good.  A shame one of these teams will be one and done.

I would be afraid of Draymond post Golden state and what it would take to get him.  But he made so many winning plays down the stretch.  I mean five plus plays down the stretch.  We didn’t have a team make 5 of those plays down the stretch in a game.

Comes down to the main problem that most of us have identified. Player evaluation.

Caruso was on a two way with the Lakers in 2017 I believe.  Was wondering who was our two way.  Man, looked at our roster and you could have told me 10 of these guys were two ways.  I have no idea who was though.

It was an awesome game. Curry almost blew it in the last minute, but Champs proved they are Champs.

Totally agree on Draymond. He was great. Can guard 1-5, either Fox or Sabonis. Awesome help defender, always in the right spot. But I totally agree, will he have motivation post GSW is a big question mark.

Kidd came out of training camp saying he was gonna get paid. His camp wanted an extension a month before that. We couldn’t have figured that out?

Another instance of the coach and front office not being in sync and the coach running his mouth.

If Kidd really felt JB needed to get paid then convince the FO. If the FO is not convinced then the FO had to trade him or force the coach to keep his minutes down to bring down his value.

This is all on Cuban Mistakes have been made yet again. What makes it worse is that Kidd is coming back and this is going to continue.

Fox is living up to the regular season hype. Sabonis having his usual post season meltdown. -37 over four games. Shooting less than 50% from the floor. Only 50.8% TS. And that´s not even the biggest problem. Defense is terrible.
Draymond is exactly the kind of defender that takes away Sabonis advantages. Strong enough to prevent easy post ups. Quick and smart enough to take away his passing lanes.
Zach Lowe said before the first round that he didn’t see Boston being a good matchup for Johns Collins.  He was right.  He went 1-9 for 5 points and rebounds. His previous 2 games he had 5 points and 8 points.  I am really interested what his market will be this off-season.  Sounds like he could have been had for an expiring role player and protected first at the deadline.  Is that still the value they are looking for?
Fox is fast becoming one of the league's best PG's. He has really upped his game from just 2 seasons ago. And Malik Monk is a better all round player than I thought. He's not just a shooter.
Harrison Barnes is not him.

I wouldn’t throw a protected first any more for Collins.
I wish I could root for the Knicks.   Love Jalen, really enjoy their style of play, and the energy at MSG is fabulous.  But I just cannot.  It is just another body blow to a rough season.    If Giannis is compromised, there is a solid chance the Knicks could make the Eastern Finals.   Which would be an even bigger gut punch.

It will be interesting.    27 is a far off first and I am sure they would want something sooner.   But 27 plus Bullock and Bertans?    That is a pretty trash offer, but you could clear Collins salary off the books in a year.
Dillon Brooks next contract will be interesting.    Chris Vernon of the ringer, who does radio for the Grizzles, has not been a fan of his for a while.    I always thought Memphis would move on from him after this year.    But a few of their other young wings may not quite be ready for all those minutes.   If Brooks is just getting MLE offers, I think the Grizz would bring him back to not lose the asset for nothing.   Does any other team role the dice with him in the 15plus million a year?

Nope you can´t do it. I´m always looking for buy low candidates, but you cannot give up any assets for players like Collins, Simmons or Ball. People think it´s mental with Simmons; that he hates basketball and all that. Looking at the recent pictures of him, all skinny and hunched over: the guy has a messed up back. There is no (mental) change of scenery that will make his back better.

And with Collins you´d think this small finger injury must be fixable. From what I have read, you need to splinter it immediately for a month, to straighten the finger and allow the tendons to heal in a natural position. If it´s not successful, you got to get surgery immediately. That might not fix it 100%, but makes it significantly better. But the longer you wait, the more likely it becomes irrreversible. Given that Collins has dragged this on for two years, you might never get the old Collins back.
Ouch

Hollinger had an article today on the Athletic talking how prohibitive the new CBA is to the Warriors and Clippers.  I am just not sure what either team does.   I just can't imagine the Warriors being legit contenders without either Green or Thompson.   Even if they are on "bad" contracts.   GS has some younger guys who I like, but it is hard to imagine them being core title pieces in the Curry window.   Could they move off Poole?  But even that leaves a hole.

Same with Clippers who haven't had the success the Warriors have had.   It is tough to see them blowing things up or giving up on this bet at this stage.

It is going to be fascinating how the next few years transpires.   I wish we had a forward thinking front office that could maybe get a jump on other teams.  I fully expect us to be behind the curve though....whatever that curve may be.

He looked good against the Mavs.  But I am judging on a curve any Power forward or Center who played against the Mavs.   There were several guys who looked like all stars against the Mavs the few times I saw them play this year.   Most of the non playoff games I watched this year were Mavs games.   After seeing PJ Washington play the Mavs, I may have given up 4 first round picks for him.    There were several guys who looked like world beaters against us.   After playing the Mavs, I was pretty sure Cody Zeller was the second coming of Kareem.
Houston hires Udoka
Playoff Jimmy Butler is unreal. Dude scored 20 straight pts in the 1st qtr for Miami. Bucks don't have a answer for him. Butler doesn't get talked about enough how clutch he is. Bucks need this game in the worst way.since Giannis is back.

A bit of a surprise. There were constant rumors they are after Nurse. I wonder where he ends up
Don’t want to laugh at other teams, as I have no room for it with my team.

But sort of funny that the clippers sacrificed the regular season to be healthy for the playoffs only to wind up playing without their two best players in the playoffs.
If the price is right, I’d take a flier on Brooks.
