LeBron wanted the ball at the elbow and DLo ignored him

Also, Wood couldn't even get in during garbage time. Just lol.

He was one of the few lakers with a positive on/off, remarkably.
Suns vs. Warriors is also wildly entertaining.

Steph Curry is a monster as always.

Warriors bench looks lethal. PHX biggest achilles heel as what was always said is their depth. Lets see what happens as the game goes on.

Their biggest issue is the fact that Booker is a fraud. It will implode. The only question is when. My bet is Round 2 of the playoffs.
Entertaining game last night. I only watched the PHX/GS game until half. It is tough to make much of GS. Draymond really is the engine for that team. His role is so important. GS is small though, like the Mavs. That could be an issue for them all year. One disappointment if I was a GS fan is Kuminga only got 20 minutes last night in a game without Draymond. I think for GS to be a contender they really need their youth to arrive and really force playing time. 20 minutes is dissapointing.

I thought Nurkic looked good in the minutes I saw. Okogie too. Okogie will play an important role. It appeared some of their bench minutes were troublesome but maybe having Beal back will hide some of that. Booker is really good.
hope wood gets a ring with the Lakers, that would be worth giving up the freight of cash mavs offered him that he humbly turned down lol
Wood and Reddish had good outings after terrible preseasons. They're both setup for success in LAL. No excuses for failure.

I really like Okogie.  Yes, Nurkic is a better fit for them than Ayton, at half the price.

Disagree

Hes the only stud on that team.  He keeps getting better. I dislike hi and his fake tough guy act but what a player.

Durant is still very good but his body seems to be falling apart by the time he gets to the playoffs every year. I’m not a Beal believer either.

It's tough to say with Beal, given he's been at a horrible franchise, unless you're just talking about injury.

IMO, the Suns' collapse against us a couple of years ago was all on CP3 as the leader (and main choker) and Ayton for not exposing a huge matchup problem for us.  I don't blame Booker as a younger player without the ball in his hands.  Now that he's primarily playing from the point, success/failure is on Booker.

Booker is hardly a fraud. Don't know your reasoning for making that very false statement.

I don't blame him for turning it down. The only other thing that would continue is Kidd jerking him around on playing time. Best for all involved he's no longer there.
If we are having a regular season hero competition Devin Booker is him. If we are trying to accomplish something however...

2021 - Game 6 vs MIL - 8/22 19 PTS 6 TOV
2022 - Game 7 vs DAL - 3/14 11 PTS 4 TOV
2023 - Game 6 vs DEN - 4/13 12 PTS 2 TOV

With win or go home performances like this, the only conclusion is FRAUD.

You definitely backed your opinion with facts.  Ya, those are Harden-like performances.
that's why they went all in to get Durant in town. on big games they will count on Kevin instead of Devin.
Booker is one of the most annoying and smug players in the league. The term “punchable face” was practically invented for him. I hate how he keeps getting gifted great teammates to prop him up. But there is no doubt he’s an incredible basketball player who is still getting better. He had a pretty great run in last years playoffs before the game 6 did, if I’m remembering right.
I am buying the Minnesota hype. I think they will be good. Especially during the regular season. I have major concerns in the playoffs though. They have quietly built a real nice roster...outside of a bad trade. I think they have a nice mix of size, skill and veteran presence. I think they have a Sacramento Kings run of last year.

For the East, I think Cleveland has another strong regular season. I think they are the 3 seed and maybe higher if the Bucks/Celtics have injury issues. But they were good last year. I am torn if I want to go with the Knicks, Pacers or Hawks as my surprise team.

I am not very good at predictions, so take them with a grain of salt.
How many game 1 rookie starters in the NBA? I saw the Detroit Thompson is starting but Bogdanovich is out. The Houston Thompson is coming off the bench. Same for Brandon Miller. Any mid to late round first picks starting for their teams?
Porzingis is going to give the C's a new dimension, on offense and defense. Him and the rest of the team look great against the Knicks, but the Knicks are coming back. I happen to think Dallas used him wrong, by standing on the perimeter and wait for the ball. He's diving to the rim and posting up more since he left. Hope he stays healthy because he makes them a scary team.
Jrue is a better defender than Smart, and offensively it's not close. What an upgrade he'll be. BOS is going to be fun to watch.

Was about to post the exact same thing.  Holy shit, could you imagine if KP was used like this for us?  Leave it to the Mavs to make a 7'4" player a spot up shooter.

Still confused why we tried to played him at PF so much with Powell. Even if he wasn't the best screensetter, you just run with what you have and live with the results.
