Carlisle had to step down for the coaching change to actually happen. Even Donnie stuck around for 20 years before Cuban finally pulled the plug. Then again, Cuban did fire Avery Johnson after only 3 years so maybe, just maybe, if Kidd really screws up we'll actually have hope that he will do what needs to be done. I have stopped trying to get into the mind of Mark Cuban at this point though.

Unlike many fans, Mark Cuban has a lot of patience with people, whether coaches, players, or front-office people.  He values stability.

It's a double-edged sword. I like the stability of a coach, but sometimes it bites you in the butt ala Carlisle.

Constant roster changes of the 00s and 10s aren´t really supporting the stability case. Not to even mention the front office scandals and drama.
Warriors drop to a surprising 3-5.  I expect they get rolling soon though. Kuminga is very young and raw, but I thought for sure he would have a little bump this year.  There was at times when he looked amazing.   So it is a little surprising to see him getting DNP or very little minutes.

Is Joe Harris just cooked?   I saw a few minutes of a game recently and he looked good on defense.   He has always been a good shooter.  He seems to be underutilized in Brooklyn. If there is something there still, I think he could be an interesting name for a contender.

Phoenix just keeps rolling.  They are just a really connected group.  Sum better then their parts.   Although regular season wins for them are a little hollow.   Playoffs is where we will get the final verdict.   But somehow they have been able to survive the loss of Javele McGee.
It’s beyond time for the two big basketball ideology to die. Space, pace and interchangeability are the way.

That is really surprising.   He still looks the same right?  I haven't watched Minny, but Edwards is at the top of athleticism in the league.

He’s fine besides the fact that his GM traded a billion firsts so they could start 2 centers in the year 2022.

I can't believe people actually thought putting Gobert and Towns together was a good idea. What league are people watching???

Then look at the insane capital spend to get that bad fitting player.  I thought it was the worst move of the offseason (worse than letting Brunson walk).

They watched the 2011 Mavericks and though Towns was Dirk and Gobert was Tyson.

Should be double that.

Am I correct that a two way salary is around 450K?   That is quite an incentive to land a two way.

what a bum, Luka has more dunks than you dude.  Smile
Anyone know how KP’s defense state fare so far this year.  I only saw a pet of one game and while his stats looked good, still felt like a KP game we saw in Dallas.

But so far his stats look good and I don’t think many Wiz fans have any regrets about the trade right now.

The smart ones already do, I'll bet.

You certainly have to worry about injury.   There is also a very strong case that is it smart to pay two huge salaries to a team who is probably in the play in range...at best.

I am not even sure if he is playing better now than he did last year.   It would suck if he is though.   It just seemed off here but it seemed like it should have been a really good fit in Dallas playing next to Luka.  Just didn't work out.

No one misses Bertans and most don't miss Dinwiddie.  One man's trash is another's treasure and they reduced long term salary.
