Kings guard Malik Monk is feared to have suffered a sprained MCL in his right knee and will undergo further testing, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. Arguably the NBA's best Sixth Man has averaged nearly 16 points and five assists a night.

Pacers with probably the best in game use of a filter I've ever seen.
Brunson with a career high 61 pts (25-47) in a OT loss to the Spurs 130-126. Wemby had a career high 40 pts, 20 rebs, 7 assts. Those 47 shot attempts were the most in the NBA this year.

That is crazy!  Do Laker fans care that much over a loss?

It's a filter over their faces that are making them look like they're crying.

Pretty hilarious to be honest.
For all the good he's done for Basketball...

Adam Silver will go down as the guy that let Draymond Green commit violent crimes on a basketball court...over and over and over again.

Its pretty disgusting that attention is focused on players that get into one off altercations with people they are heavily emotionally entangled with...but a blind eye is given to Draymond.

Its by design. I get it. The villain schtick is kinda played out.

Has he really done good?

Lowest viewership levels in 20+ years under his reign. Put ads on jersey's. Allowed sports betting to invade his sport and even advocates for it. He killed the All-star game. Players have made more money than ever but fail to play consistently anymore. Add in that Draymond fiasco too.

He's a horrible commissioner.

Yeah...Im not a business man so I really cant give an opinion.

What American Big 4 sport hasnt lost viewership stateside?  I dont like viewership numbers...too many variables muddy the facts.

The mid season tournament was a huge success.   Players making money.   Sport growing Globally.   The League is flush with talent.   He's experimented with the All-Star Game stuff.

The Draymond stuff just kills any Commissioners Legacy in my opinion.

Brunson's 61 pts not enough to eclipse Wemby's performance.

I don't know where you got your numbers, but TV viewership and attendance have increased.

Attendance is an interesting viewpoint. Touche there.

The local ratings are based from last year. Overall NBA viewership has decreased compared to the 90s and 2000s.

However can you blame Silver? Or has cable cutting caused the majority of this decrease? Hard to separate the chicken and egg in this scenario whenever we're talking about viewership numbers but either way it has gone down.

Does this really matter in the grand scheme of things? Not really. The gravest sin Silver has done in my mind was promote gambling going so far as to include it in the NBA app so people could make live bets. https://awfulannouncing.com/gambling/nba...tting.html

The ads on jersey's also are such a sticking point with me cause it shows how Silver has/had no respect for the history of the sport.

Markkanen is likely done for the season.

The ads are all about $$   Companies pay big marketing fees to advertise on jerseys as well as putting their name on arenas for naming rights.  Baseball has joined the fray, as they have added them to their uniforms. Could the NFL, and NHL be next?

Malik Monk is out for at least a month.

That's an incredibly rare viewpoint.  Players love Silver.  His handling of the BLM was perfection.  Talk of expansion.  Even more international inroads and suport.  GLeague becoming a nonNCAA option.  Labor/management peace.

Viewership and attendance is up, actually, while it's down in the MLB, NFL, and NHL.  That's impressive given the competition is now more than 3 major networks, not to mention expansion of sports (xgames, mls, nwsl, mma, etc, etc).
Draymond is a monster. That punch on Poole was perfectly thrown and perfectly landed. It's rare you have a basketball player who knows anything but holding and grabbing (see Barkley vs. Shaq). Add to his ability his willingness to use it, you have a monster.

Draymond is like Trump. The system was not built to have the proper checks and balances for such behavior. The normal course of his teammates and coaches calling him out works not. The normal suspensions/fines doesn't deter him. The violence, which is SO different than the likes of Rodman and Sheed, continues within the system.

How can you put it on the Commissioner? Is he not getting fined? Is he not getting suspended? I don't think it's within the Commissioner's power to do anything more.
