I've seen amazing defenders run down players like Lebron's incredible blocks of seemingly bunny layups.  I've never seen a player get taken off the dribble, recover, then block a shot... from anywhere on the floor.
This could be a nice 2-way option. Still young, did show flashes

Another extension, Cole Anthony got 39/3

If I was Maxey I would be pissed off right now. Morey plans to hold off on an extension until next summer so he can potentially have at least one max spot available (maybe one max and another near max, I believe). But still, that is not Maxey's problem. He will probably sign a huge deal this offseason, but still it would be something that would nag at me all year if I was him.

Daryl Morey does not care about his players.  It's finally catching up to him.

He was a favorite of mine as an early second round pick in that draft.  I have a thing for Villanova guys.   I haven't really seen him play in the pros though.  Was hurt for a little and then lost in a numbers game in OKC.   Probably would have been caught up in a numbers game in Houston if he stayed there too.

Without knowing much about his growth the last few years, I would prefer him on a two way over Brown.   Tall, physical PF type who has some skill.

Sort of surprising.  I thought I read/heard he was going to be the odd man out there.    A lot of young bodies there.   But that contract fits probably his value and can be moved.    Probably moved with another player and/or picks to get someone who fits better.
Just heard Giannis signed a 3 yr 186 million dollar extension.

Maxey sticks out like a sore thumb.  Sounds like Bey was looking for 16-18 million a year.  ATL probably made a wise decision on him.    Different player, but I think he is comparable to Jae Crowder in that they are solid players but may not be as good as a lot of people think.  I like Patrick Williams but he is another guy who has shown in glimpses, but it is not an every game thing.  Supposedly he was looking for over 20 million.

Is Precious a center only?  Can he play PF?  Any interest?

Who knows why Morey hasn't extended Maxey?  Apparently, he has something up his sleeve and it has to do with Harden. Maxey is the best player off that list, not to get an extension.

Precious is a tweener PF/C.  Lots of interest.

Flexibility, I believe.   With Harden and Harris expiring, they could have close to two max spots next year, I think.   The only way out of this mess is turn Harden into picks and expirings and hope to sign a max free agent and maybe trade for another high salaried player this offseason.   I think that is the plan.  A high salary for Maxey on the books, limits these plans.

There is a human element though as Maxey is a key player for them this year and he has seen some players from his draft class cash in big already.

He has also seen promises from Morey don't mean much Smile

Precious is a good rebounder (40.2 contested rebound percentage last year).  Good defense.  Absolutely no outside shot.  That may be somewhat problematic with playing with Lively, but great combo with GWill.

I'm not sure he's actually a good defender.  He is a good rebounder.  I think Wenyen Gabriel is a similar player who had better advances stats last season as a rotation player for the Lakers.  He's currently a free agent and I think would be a better choice than Precious.  He'd also be free.

Like you, I am still concerned about our rebounding.  That's probably our greatest flaw.  That and Luka's lingering leg injuries.

Looking at Gabriel's advanced stats now.  I really liked him every time I saw a LAL game last year.

I consider Luka a SF, so we're more than ok there.  None of our guards (I consider THJ & J.Green guards) can rebound well, Kyrie being our best.  Powell and Maxi are terrible rebounders.  Hopefully Lively will be a rebounding monster.  GWill is below average.

That's another very team-friendly extension.  I thought he'd get at least $20 million per year.
