Was the game even over when you posted this?  Are we really going to continue to talk about the minimum wage backup big for some team in Los Angeles every time he puts up a stat?  I notice no one is anxious to post it took him 7 shots to get 7 points or that his O-Rating is 102 and PER is 11 through two games.  

He’s playing exactly the role he should have accepted and played here.  Hopefully he will accept that role and play some team ball.  I’ll take the under.  The issue was never his talent.

P-R-E-A-C-H !

Hardwood Knocks did a (way too early) hot takes show after everyone has played at least one game.  Their Maverick related takes were about Lively and Hardy.  

They love them some Lively and think he’ll be the best player in the class taken outside the Top 10 and has a shot at All-Rookie First Team (I actually think he’ll pass some of the guys taken ahead of him in terms of where he’d fall in an end-of-season redraft.  They thought we should try some Lively/Maxi/GWill combos in the front court.

They also think Hardy may prove to be an important factor this season as the team needs another creator and no one outside of the two superstars has that ability.  There were also some nice comments about Exum.

Oh come on now. People were gleefully posting every bad statline from the pre-season, so naturally it´s only fair to get called out, when it goes the other way. You know exactly why it was posted.

I have no skin in Woodgate, but I always wonder why people think it´s something to brag about, if a player sucks elsewhere, too. 

It was still the Mavs that sacrificed a 1st for it or drafted Satnam Singh and company. Don´t know how that is supposed to make the MBT look good or make me feel any better, when the Mavs could have used that 1st to draft Jovic, Williams or used it in other (more productive) ways.

I wonder if there is any way to tell when I posted this. I was just going through the stats of the night and noticed this. Not that big a deal to me now that he is not a Mav. I’ll tell you what, you post this same thing the next time someone points out a bad game he has (with the same vitriol) and you’ll not see another post about Wood from me.

Its interesting that somebody who spends a lot of time on here throwing out non Mav performances to demonstrate how bad this FO is (and ironically bringing it up in this post) is throwing shade at folks who point out non Mav performances to suggest the FO might have made a good decision.

Wood was pretty awful last night. +23 just means he played the right minutes with Lebron.

I might use exasperation instead of vitriol. 

I’ll make that deal assuming I notice. I haven’t seen nearly all the anti-Wood posts that 2021 apparently has.  I think I’ve made one Wood reference all summer which is what he’s probably referring to since it related to negative On-Court during the preseason.  We probably all see more of what we are sensitive to and less of what we agree with. But, if it gets one more person off of this crusade I’m happy to oblige your request.

So then, was the game over at 12:33? Is it unacceptable to be in bed at the end of the day, look at stats for the night and post an impression now? Not sure why you keep defending this path?

Apparently it’s more than 2021 judging by the likes. I myself should at least be lumped into that considering I’m the one who started the opposition post. However, let it be known, my post wasn’t the start of it this season (of which the preseason is included). In a tit-for-tat, there is a tat, but the tit is the one who started it.
