Man. How do you jeopardize your career fooling around with a member of your staff?  Did he think nobody was going to find out?

That press release sure reads like he’ll never coach there again and they’re just not ready to say it out loud.

I don't think he comes back either. I'm sure the staffer is still there.
This looks like Boston just trying to buy time before outright firing him and not having to pay.

First of all we don’t know all the details. The latest reports suggest that Udoka said something to the woman and she complained.  Whatever it might be, I am stunned that in this day and age even folks like Richard Jefferson and SAS don’t know that consent by itself doesn’t mitigate all the liabilities a company will face wrt a relationship btw a supervisor and a subordinate. There is a reason why it is frowned upon. The supervisor is in a power position and the employee might be intimidated to begin with. Even if not the supervisor has control that he might begin to abuse for more favors.  Even if neither of the above are true, it still creates a toxic work place environment where others feel the person sleeping around might have an unfair advantage over them when it comes to many things including evaluations and pay raises.

In this day and age how do people not understand these simple things?

Some are talking about Jeannie Buss and Phil. Yes. That was the same and Jeannie and the Lakers were setting themselves up for a huge lawsuit there as well if Phil or some other employee ( who felt that Phil was getting preferential treatment due to sleeping around) ever sued them when things went south.

Funny thing is, she still consults Phil on team decisions even though they aren't (supposedly) romantically involved anymore.
I think this is good for the game, but maybe not great for the Mavs, given their preference to lean on the "take foul" rather than get back in transition at times.

Tough stretch for Boston.   Gallo blows out a knee before playing for the Celtics; The Udoka situation; and now Robert Williams out 8-12 weeks after knee surgery.

Yeah, they might not be the favorites to come out the East again now.

My take is KP plays his best ball of his career over the first half of the year.  Can it or will it continue?   TBD.

Interesting.  I wonder if they have something in the works.  I thought he would be used with Saric and a first to get a higher tiered player.    Supposedly that was the offer for Bogdanovich but the Suns wanted Vanderbilt too.  I think that is fair.

I wonder where Crowder goes.    Miami?   Not sure they have the piece to helps PHX.    How about Seth Curry for Crowder?  Would that help the Suns?

I can understand the suns wanting to clear room for Johnson and find an upgrade using Crowder.   But as an expiring, I am surprised it has come that they are holding him out.     Unless they have a few offers they like.
