Good for him. Lakers did him dirty.
Sweeney as his lead assistant?

But, there is no comparison between the amount of energy Jokic uses to create or score vs what Luka needs to do. Denver is playing totally different, with lots of running and cutting of other players, to which Jokic delivers. Dallas is always Luka beating his opponent of the dribble. Just look at Jokic baskets and assists from yesterday game and compare that to any of Luka games.

Jokic assists from yesterday. On most of them he doesn't even need to move.

Thing is that Jokic moves way more without the ball. Looking at the tracking numbers no big in the league is even close to him when it comes to miles per game on offense.
He creates mismatches and easy scoring opportunities before he even touches the ball. Best example is his transition game. In the series against the Lakers he never stopped pushing the pace. With or without the ball. With fresh legs AD is going to beat Jokic to the rim 10/10 times. But with tired legs in the second half of a game he never stood a chance. Couldn´t keep up.
Brings up an interesting question because many people tend to ignore endurance when it comes to athleticism. Is the guy with better quickness/vertical really the better athlet if he cannot keep it up for an entire game/series?

Criminal justice involvement (jail) doesn’t seem out of the question either if the NBA has really turned up some kind of bombshell information. I’m not saying that’s likely, but there’s lots of smoke. He’s not associating with people who have his best interests in mind.

Did he do something illegal? I haven’t looked into it that much.

Silver didn't elaborate. He just stated that they found additional information during this investigation. For Ja's sake I hope not. I just don't understand a guy that has made it to the highest level wanting to risk it all to pretend to be something he's never been. He's already cost himself 50 million or more. That's a damn shame.

Right?
I could understand if he grew up like Jimmy Butler and was abandoned by his family as an early teen
Looks like Ja had a pretty normal middle class upbringing with a barber father who stuck around

Cuban always loses at Musical Chairs.
Add Terry Stots....he could take over for Kidd if the season goes south.

Rolleyes
I don't think Mavs are offering a lead assistant position (Sweeney) and I doubt "names" will take anything less.
All these coaching changes and the Mavs are still staying put with Kidd.

Might as well, subtract at least 15 losses from 82 games this season.
Not saying it was a great trade, but in hinsight Minnesota and Gobert weren´t the only team that the Nuggets made to look like sh*t.

There is always the "associate head coach" position.

But honestly,  I think Kidd won't get someone like that, he will be essentially hiring his potential heir as he surely knows he will be on hot seat.
He will try to make it as difficult as possible for the MBT to replace him mid-season.

Heck,if we fire him during the season then Budenholzer is the only available strong candidate.

That looks like something Bowser would be proud to wear.
