Yes, but that was the year before last, before KP went totally belly up.
I'd also argue (perhaps unpopularly) that Powell at the defensive 4, before the injury, was a better fit with KP than Holmes. Both Holmes and KP are clearly 5's on defense, imo.
It also seems that most of that favorable on/off showing came from the (at the time) record-breaking offense which was based on the Luka/DP pick and roll, with KP spacing. @"Kammrath" thinks Holmes will pick right up where healthy Powell left off, and maybe he will. I'm not so sure, but he'll at least be good in that role right away. But, the other part of that is that KP was a spacer. We know that he didn't enjoy being a spacer. He has literally said that. Further, Harrison and Kidd have both said they plan to involve him in the offense more, which probably means touches from the extended FT line in, probably face-ups, but maybe not. Either way, this DOES NOT MAKE SENSE WITH HOLMES OR ANYONE ELSE WAITING FOR A REBOUND IN THE DUNKER SPOT.

That was with KP playing center defensively and DP at the 4. Don't think we want Holmes playing the 4 defensively. Maybe you can make it work. Just feels like somebody (probably KP) will get abused on the perimeter.
Lowry + Powell --> MIA
KP + Achiuwa --> TOR
Siakam + Dragic --> DAL

Hayward is every bit of the playmaker needed and then some (when healthy).
Nothing from Fischer on the DAL front....seems like DAL's real plans may have possibly stayed on the down low this whole time. Just a guess.

I'm kind of torn actually. Lowry kind of feels like the Kemba pursuit that never really was. I believe we inquired about Leonard as I'm sure every team in the league did.

I'm not going to assume that the rumors have it. And I'm wired to be a pretty hopefull dude. But things feel a little shaky at the moment.

Agree with the second sentence, and would've been upset if they hadn't kicked the tires. You have to.
This idea that they "never really wanted Kemba" is something that was 100% invented in this community and has somehow gained traction, probably because people seem to more willing to believe things the more they read them. They wanted the dude badly.
