I would think Graham is pretty obtainable since Charlotte drafted Bouknight. Shouldn't be hard to match salary in a S&T either.
My ideal Plan B: Reggie Jackson + Holmes

Obviously Nance can fit into our TPE if we maintain it.  But, if it was that easy all sorts of teams would have traded for him by now.  I was trying to take on Cedi as part of the price tag for getting Nance (something I played around with earlier in the day).  I’ve also been working on Powell/Brunson (and some space) for Lowry.  I got a little too excited and combined the concepts forgetting I can’t take back any salary besides Lowry for the trio of outgoing salaries.

FWIW, I think they likely keep this simple…Maxi/Brunson or Powell/Brunson and call it a day.  I get that there is a clever version that maintains the TPE and MLE.  I kind of suspect they will lock it down if they can get Lowry for two Mav’s.  I disagree with the idea that we need to come up with two firsts for Toronto to make this deal.  It just has to be better than nothing and hometown hero Powell plus Brunson more than covers that.  The way they might complicate this would be to send Maxi into space on a third team for a small returning asset.  Maybe that goes to Toronto.  Maybe that goes to Cleveland as an incentive to trade us Nance.

Here is what the simple DP/JB for Lowry looks like using enough space to also retain THJ:

KP/WCS.          Moses
DFS/Maxi.        Bey
THJ/Sterling.    Min
Lowry/Green    Burke
Luka/Terry.      Min

Wasn’t there something health-related about Nance Jr? I read somewhere that he dropped a lot of weight.

I could handle some Fournier in my life.

In your mind, would this be with or without THJ coming back?

I think it is pretty unlikely on Holmes with Moses Brown here and likely WCS here. Reggie Jackson though, I have come around on that option - good blend of unassisted scoring and spot-up shooting.

But I think you can relax as it looks like Miami will once again take our lunch money in FA.

This is a new FO though. So far they gave away absolutely nothing in terms of strategy or targets. All their interviews are very vague and ambiguous, but then you get hammered with this one #1 target Lowry rumour by Stein every day. It does seem a little strange. Maybe it´s part of the strategy to get Lowry to spam the rumours. Also very possible.

Who broke the Richardson trade? Some guy from The Athletic? Who broke/confirmed the Brown piece? Shams? Usually in the past I feel like Stein broke almost all the Mavs news.

Yea assuming Norm Powell is 100% staying Por. We’re looking at a scenario all too familiar where nobody worthy of our cap space is still available. Wonder if they could pivot to trade scenarios the cap space becomes useful in taking money off other team’s hands.

Either, but I would prefer him as a THJ replacement personally. Better playmaking with same shooting and probably better D.

Mavs2021 came up with that I’m just stealing his stuff trying to look cool.

And is THJ in that plan?  Or, do you send him somewhere and stay over the cap?

For $20M and 4 years $80M - that’s supposedly what he is looking for. I don’t understand what you’re wanting.. Fournier is an awful defender with a short wingspan and he is a poor playoff performer.

Hey, we agree on something! To wit: better 4/80 Fournier than 3/90 Lowry!

Thing about grabbing Fournier is he lowers THJ's price because then it's solidified that THJ comes off the bench (which as I've been hammering relentlessly over the past several weeks, is the reality of a Luka-led team).
I am all about adding assets and role players to round out the team. Multiple small moves like Moses and Sterling Brown are not sexy but will make us better. The Mavs are not as far away as many fans think we are, IMO.

How about a guy like Gary Harris as a buy low candidate? He is on an expiring and in a crowded guard rotation in ORL. We have the Mosley connection to help us out too.
Yeah, I don't dislike Fournier at all - I think he's slightly underrated.

But, I think 35-year-old Lowry would make a much bigger impact on winning here for the next couple of years than Fournier would.

I think people just can't get past that 35 number. If he signs in Miami, it won't be 3/$90 (at least not fully guaranteed) and I'll bet that's not what the Mavs are trying to pay him, either.

I've been a Justise Winslow fan for a long time now. When healthy, he is a perfect fit on this team; definitely another buy low candidate; those are the type of players I hope we target. He could have a bounceback Batum-esque season.

A bit leery of good Mia players going to other teams and not playing well. Seems that didn’t work out well recently.
