2. Sign Holmes even if its 19M
3. Get a playmaker like Fournier (or sign THJ + get some playmaker type of guy who doesn't score a lot like a Satoransky)

I mean yeah there will be a point where Lowry becomes a worse player, but honestly that only matters if Lonzo wanted to come here in the first place. My #1 preference would be Brogdon but that doesn't mean he's available.

Lowry + THJ gives me a pause as well, unless they can get to the money without losing Maxi. I like Lowry, but if they lose Maxi in the process, who is starting with KP? Powell? yikes. You solve the secondary playmaker problem, but at the cost of losing a 3 and D player in Maxi. Losing Maxi has Curry written all over it.

By the way I´m less concerned about the Powell/KP fit but more about the KP backup.
If we signed Lowry in a S&T I assume we would have an MLE forward in mind as well.
I would also prefer Lonzo but I think getting him is much harder than getting Lowry.
Came here to advocate to let go of the idea of adding Lowry and just focusing on getting Lonzo. Turned out that´s exactly what´s discussed here anyway. So let´s hope the MBT will see the obvious too

I can see Lonzo as a fall-back plan if we miss on Lowry-Conley-CP3-Dinwiddie and he didn´t figure out his RFA till then.
I would be extremely happy if we get Lowry , but I fail to see why he would join us.
Financially, Pelicans seems ready to offer him way more than anyone else.
From winning perspective, Sixers are way ahead of ys, and if Lakers manage to find a way to add him then they are in better position too.
I think Ball is just more realistic target, but will be happy if proven wrong

I´m not sure, what NO is doing, they have done a boatload of really bad decisions, although they got Kings ransoms for trading their franchise players.

About the upcoming Draft / FA, i can tell u that i have some big mixed feelings. One day its seems that we will get back on track this year. Next day the complete opposite.
I would like to create a little bit of an oldschool style. More D , more Power, more inside/outside game.
And of course milk the cow! How often did i saw a winning play but then we lost our minds and stopped playing. I hope JKidd can create an aura that helps us tto play our way and style.

A Lowry S&T could be done under or over the cap. Over the cap (retaining the MLE) would require a trade match. For numbers sake, you could send Powell and JRich who total $22.7. They can match any number for Lowry up to $28.4. In that case you'd still be over the cap and could retain THJ's hold and have the MLE.
There is also a version of a S&T where we send out less salary (just Powell at $11 million for instance) and fill the gap with cap room. Since cap room was used you are under the cap and don't have the full MLE. Instead, you have the Room MLE.
