@"Scott41theMavs", do you really think folks aren't listening? Don't you think it's just that we don't all agree? I mean, I think THJ is a starter and that Lowry would be a great fit in the secondary playmaker, defender beside Luka and vet leadership role. And it's not because I haven't read your posts that I think that way.

I agree if you're saying all my ideas are the best. That is all.

Conley - staying with the Jazz. - See CP3
DDR - do not want. - Even as a fallback?
D. Rose - do not want.  - After the Kidd scrutiny, I can't see it.
Holmes - Yes, please, but I agree with Loki in that I don't see him and KP fitting together.  This team doesn't have enough talent to be all that concerned about fit.
Oladipo - No.  - On a 1-year MLE contract as a reclamation/backup plan
Drummond - No. - Sign Dwight Howard instead, even if you overpay him to come, he'll be ridiculously cheap.  I would LOVE this move.
Lauri - Sure, at the right place *if* KP is gone.  Maybe I need to watch him more but I can't express how apathetic I am on this one.
Portis - Yes, please.  For a very reasonable contract only.
Barton - He broken.  I think he'll be back in Denver.
McConnell - Sure, but not for big money. Love this.
Reggie - yes, please.  For the money I'd offer him, he'd stay a Clipper and that's probably the right decision for him.
Graham - sure, if the price is right.  Sure
THT - would make one poster damn happy.  Championship moves should make everyone happy.
Batum - Ditto - I'm in camp #FoolsGold.  He'll never be as well rested as he was last year.

My thoughts in red.  It seems like there are a lot of paths to explore and ending up improving the roster.

Like, 30 paths evidently
"15 scenarios that will probably end up being 30."

Everyone, relax your balls.
I strongly suspect the path to Lowry+THJ money involves dumping Brunson+Powell somewhere. That pretty much gets you to 30+15, or close enough.
What a time to be Kyle Lowry.
Who needs to be a top 30 player in the NBA to get 3/90?

Not his fault of course.
Most teams go thru this phase of insanity and then regret.

It makes sense, but on the other hand, the Mavs love them some Brunson.

Then again, Donnie is gone, so maybe they don't?

Don't think they'd give him up for just nothing, but in this case it would basically be a trade of Brunson for Lowry. Considering his possible limitations as a career backup PG + the difficulty in retaining him next year, it wouldn't surprise me at all.

I'm amazed though. You weren't lulled out of your sleepy sleep by signing 2 starting PFs with the same name to play with our star PF, nor by letting Nash walk.

You weren't riled up by Miami in 6, Nellie and the Dubs owning Avery and Dirk, or by Roddy B watching the Spurs beat us from the bench.

You weren't stirred enough to speak up when 41 thumped all the best the NBA could offer up in the most magical championship run in the history of athletic competition, nor when our heartless owner stole the soul of the team as soon as Dirk finished singing We Are The Champions.

You didint say hi or offer a shoulder to cry on when we all suffered through the DAJ rejection,  Chandler Parsons photo shoots and Rondo v Rick.

You didn't celebrate with us when Vince made the 3, Dirk said farewell or when Luka came to make things right.

None of that brought you out of your shell...but Kyle Lowry did.

Well, glad you're here. It's about time!  Shy

This is truly great! But you skipped Avery Johnson benching the newly acquired Jason Kidd during crunch time against the Spurs. The JFK assassination, 9/11, and Averygate—moments we all remember.
yes, when Avery Johnson benched Kidd to put in a lesser player to run HIS play. . . .The instant he did that I started my best received thread of all time on the old board LMF. .. . . . ."God Damn Avery Johnson!"

It's probably nothing, but does anyone want to read way too much into Maxi and Brunson hanging out in the NY area on the eve of free agency?

More than anything, this clip makes me miss Inside the NBA before Shaq came in and ruined it.

"I love Avery, but that was stupid."

If Chuck retires and Shaq stays, it will be unwatchable.  I really hope Draymond and Candice Parker get a shot.  They've both been great when given the opportuniy.

Yeah, I like them. It wouldn't offer the same hard-hitting humor it used to, but the basketball analysis would probably be better than ever, and at the very least the game's most visible spokes people would actually like the NBA game.

Maxi:  Hi Mark, I did as you asked and confirmed that Mitchell Robinson is taller than Jalen.
Mark:  Are you sure, Maxi?
Maxi:  Positive, Mark.  I had them stand side by side.  He's taller.
Mark:  Great work, Maxi!
Mark (a muffled phone but audible due to shouting):  Nico, pull the trigger!
I enjoy reading Cow's posts...one of the highlights of my visits...
