That would at least salvage a somewhat poor FA.  Secondary ball handler and shoots 43 from three.  Feel like he would be here if the Mavs were interested.
Yeah pretty weird if they haven’t.
MLE level money for him seems decent.
Plus even just showing interest gives them a bit more leverage for a Dragic negotiations.

I still think it is silly for any PG needy team to not kick that tire for a year and that includes us.  He's a headcase for sure, but he's a starting level NBA player.  He'd probably be on his best behavior and if he's just on a one-year, inexpensive deal send his ass home if he starts acting a fool.

I know! He couldn’t even guard Kawhi Leonard!

Less reason for Toronto to take Dwight Powell back....

6, 13, 14, 0, 4, 0, 0. That's his point totals for the 7 games vs the Clippers. Nobody expects him to stop Kawhi, but he scored 4 points total in his final 4 playoff games.

Kidd coached him in LA. If Kidd doesn't want anything to do with him now you can bet he's a problem. No thanks.

Hopefully, they are just waiting for the right opportunity. Maybe Dragic will get bought out, or maybe someone else will be available in trade before the season starts.

I think it is that.
The typical we love our boys in blue, but will remain opportunistic if something emerges.

I’ve been told that Reggie Bullock has been trying to get his former Piston teammate to join him in Dallas. Jackson is also intrigued by playing with Luka and looks up to Jason Kidd.

The Mavs are trying to move in silence on this one, like they did with Bullock.

Or are you mad that they reportedly kicked the tires on a Dinwiddie deal? At a time when they plainly wanted Toronto to think they were exploring other options?

Agreed they aren't running the franchise that way. I guess I'm more so irked at the fact I find it totally plausible that Cuban would prioritize Dinwiddie because he wants to go after Beal. Thats why I was annoyed.

It's a moot point now however.

It's been clear for a while Dragic is only coming in a buyout.

I know you're pulling our legs again, but I'd love for this to be true.

We don't know Kidd's feelings.

Most definitely

If they did sign Schroder, I'd take it that Kidd signed off on it.

If they don't sign Schroder, then, yeah, I don't have any idea if it's because Kidd told them it was a bad idea, they couldn't come an agreement on a contract, the moon was in opposition to Mars or what.

Pretty much.
