It cost NO a FRP though

The old regime would still be trying to wine and dine Kawhi while all these role players would be snatched up. Mavs didn't wait on Kawhi, nor Lowry, Conley, or CP3. They went after the role players they thought were important and resigned them all at market deals.

So the new regime can get deals done but has no clue when it comes to talent evaluation (or is the best ever because they see something that no one else saw).

If I am serious? Are you serious?

The Pelicans just virtually paid Graham the same money as we did for Bullock. And I don´t even like Graham that much.

Bullock would still be sitting on the free agent list in October, if he waited for a MLE offer from another team.

All I see is players settling for super team friendly deals OR NO DEALS.
I'm going to wait to see the end before I get frustrated.
We should trade Luka after this stinker against Germany.

Guess we gotta wait and see how Bullock and Brown fit.

Free agency isn't over. Again I still think if we get Dragic we're sitting pretty. Adding Dragic would mean we've addressed almost all the issues we've brought up during the season. Sure they're not blockbuster names, but if they do the job who cares?
EDIT:

Pelicans trade a 1st for scrub Devonte Graham, good news. Pelicans just might be lottery bound again.

Yeah we may have been unable to compete with the offer, just saying I would have liked him and the money seems good.

Rebounding is still broken.

Oh you got a potty mouth. Lets tone down the aggression here bud.

I disagree that Bullock wouldn't have gotten an offer close to the MLE/full MLE from another team. Plenty of writers/capologists put Bullocks value right around there. TJ McConnell, Kelly Olynyk, Caruso, Thies all got similar deals to Bullock.

A FRP for Graham to me screams desperation. He's an okay player, but nowhere near worth a FRP.

Christ, I would have done that deal in a second!

Unfortunately Mavs don't have a 2022 FRP. But yes, that deal is great, I was expecting he will get around 15 mil.
Mavs still have their TPE, and that's about it. Don't imagine they will use it. Feels like this is it, except for a possible swap for Dragic.

Bullock will be a good add. I think we'll like Dragic, if that happens.

Disappointed they didn't seem to work to get Holmes, Batum, Danny Green. Portis was the same negotiation fail like we've seen before - Dallas offers more money, he said no thanks. Batum did a dirt-cheap deal, why weren't they trying there?

I'm still baffled by Holmes. All his landing spots just went other directions, and somewhat aggressively. Odd. Did he simply price himself out of the market? I would still love for the Mavs to find a way to get him via the TPE, but that's such a longest-of-longshots wish, as that couldn't be a deal he wants, and probably wouldn't fit the wishes of SAC either. Maybe not even the Mavs. Puzzling.

This summer doesn't seem like we're seeing much difference from prior ones. A few kinda okay changes, and hope for the best.
I want to hold off on my grades until all the dust settles, but I have been clear from the start.  If the Mavs focus on improving around the edges and not 3-5 starting talent my grade will be lower.
I'm not freaking out at this point at all, and I'm usually Captain Complainer or Lord Annoying.  This isn't that bad.

You guys need to calm down.  ???

Sacramento is reportedly offering 60/4 which is a decent deal and Toronto is still in play
My guess is that they will use the TPE to facilitate the Dragic trade.  We maybe send Powell and TPE for Dragic.  Then we are completely done.

TPE can't be combined with other salaries

I think Willie and Powell or maybe just Powell can get us Dragic back.
