I floated the Millsap idea a few days ago.  Sure he is old but I think he'd be solid in the rotation is provides you a little bit of everything.  He's probably be our most well rounded big man from a skillset perspective.

What this also tells us is, that Mavs likely don't see M.Brown in their future. To sign Dragic they need a roster spot and he seems like the odd man out.

I thought that was fairly clear after it was reported that Mavs would've preferred 0 salary coming back in that trade but eventually had to settle for taking Brown. 

I'm not going to swear he won't be here next year, but I agree that they don't care whether he is or isn't.

Personally, I'd much rather have him than Boban, but I know they don't think that way and it's definitely not something to get into a twist about.

Getting Dragic makes this offseason okay by me. Doubly so if he gets bought out and signs here without us having to trade. 

Now if there was just some way to get Lauri here as well....

It would be interesting to see if Moses can keep his rebounding pace on a non-tanking team but I don't think he is long for this Mavs' world.  We are also allergic to good rebounders save for Luka.

I would have him as our third center. I think our second and third guy as they are are overpaid. I think Bobi is not really signed for his on floor basketball qualities

Maybe I'm missing your aim here (is this sarcasm?) but I'd say it's a kind of evidence to the contrary, though on such a small scale it doesn't really move the needle on my opinion of him.

Lauri wants out of Chicago and I doubt they will hold him hostage. I think a second rounder or similar would be enough to facilitate SnT into our TE, if he agrees to three year deal

He just might agree to it if the 3rd year is unguaranteed. Gives him a chance to enter the loaded 2023 FA class where a lot of teams will have money to blow. 

FGump pointed out that 3 year deal with the last year being unguaranteed is legal. I just don't think Lauri is interested in that. After Dan's excellent breakdown of how it's possible for the Mavs to get 9.5M still leaves me wondering if there was a way to get just a bit more to make it more palatable for Lauri to take a temporary discount.
