I know IGT will crucify me but I feel like this thread needs to be stickied forever. The wonderboy is going to show us some crazy stuff this year.
I am down with sticking this thread too. I am sure Luka will give us some stat to post or something to talk about when there is no games.

Hehe, damnit! Question? Won't it get enough attention (replies) to where it'll basically be stickied anyway?

Its funny because logically I agree with you, stickied threads aren't really necessary unless they are a general rule thread for newcomers to get the hang of stuff.

Topics that have enough momentum will naturally stay at the top. However, the only reason why I want a stickied Luka thread is because Luka is Luka. I feel like a thread that represents Luka magic transcends all trends.

I for one would love to be constantly reminded how good Luka is no matter if there isn't a recent example showing us why he's called the wonderboy(even though we managed to keep the other Halleluka thread quite high for the entire year).

But yeah, I agree with you, almost every thread shouldn't be stickied, but ongoing topics about Luka, KP, and Dirk I feel should be exceptions.

Ya, I can understand that and it is a bit hard for me to say I don't like it because I am a fan of all things Mavs. My issue is that you said in your reply, a sticky for Dirk, Luka and KP. So that's 3 stickied topics. Add to that a change request thread, tutorial thread (because let's face it, this place seems to have ALL the bells and whistles, including my favorite threaded mode where some of the options can be missed if you're not looking hard enough), Around the NBA thread and the Gameday thread. Then if Mike makes this his message board that is off the main site, he'll want to promote his articles like he did before. That's 6 + however many articles being promoted at a time.

In all honesty, I use the desktop, so there is enough room to fit most of that on a screen plus have a few of the most replied to topics without scrolling. On the phone or pad (which I use periodically), you'll be scrolling forever. This is a to each his own thing too, and I'll be fine either way, just have that need to express my opinion on it.

MAVS.COM: Have you seen Kristaps Porzingis lately and the obvious change in his body?
NOWITZKI: I only saw pictures and I ran into him a few days ago in the gym. Yeah. He looks good. I watched him work out a little bit. He’s got the deep ball, he’s got all of the in-between game, so he’ll be a great weapon for us. We can’t wait to see what he’s going to look like.
MAVS.COM: What in particular excites you about the upcoming season and about Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis playing together for the first time?

NOWITZKI: I’m excited to see, of course, how Luka and KP are fitting together and how the rest of the squad is going to come together. I think we have great potential. I think after the dip the last couple of years, I think we should be on the rise. Hopefully there is some playoff basketball in the Mavs’ future. That would be awesome.

Was going to post this as a thread but wasn't expecting it in the Luka thread. I wonder if Dirk being the new chair of the FIBA's player commission will prevent him from joining the Mavs' staff

I wondered the exact same thing. Worst case scenario its a temporary position which only helps to strengthen his position internationally for scouting, and then he comes to work for the Mavs with those scouting connections in place.

Considering that Vlade Divac had the same position while he simultaneously was the GM of the Kings it shouldn´t be a problem.

There certainly must be a mistake, as 17-33 is over 50 %, not 47 % as stated. Ok, actually I have no idea what that first number means - it is not a percentage of numbers in brackets

The number before the brackets is the number of total points scored for the season.
