If that's true, this is cause for great concern, imho.

There is a possible positive spin on it though. It actually may be a good thing, if true, that it backfired on them. It could be just the wake up call needed for there to be some actual consequences. I wouldn't be shocked if Luka's ego was over the moon. He was a big part of why Slovenia were the defending champs at Eurobasket, he took Slovenia way further in the Olympics than they were supposed to last year even though he earned the name "hookah Doncic" from the way he partied there. And after that you had the Mavs Suns series which had the Mavs further in the playoffs than they really had business being despite showing up at the start of the season up at least one cup size. Actually having the immaturity hurt him on the court (losing to Poland is kind of embarrassing) may turn out to be exactly what the Mavs wanted.
