anybody else peep the Slovenian colored Jordans with his new logo that he is wearing on the cover
Slovenia's Olympic Group C Schedule (corrected to US-CDT)

7/25     11:40pm     vs Argentina
7/28     11:40pm     vs Japan
8/01       3:20am     vs Spain
8/03        TBD         Quarterfinals
8/05        TBD         Semifinals
8/07        TBD         Medal Games

Keep your DVRs handy for those start times.

Top 2 from each Group (A,B,C) and the best two 3rd place teams make the Quarterfinals. After that it's all single elimination.

Any thoughts on how far Slovenia gets? I have no clue to the quality of the international teams.

Hopefully and realistically Slovenia gets an Olympic medal...

Luka is arguably best player on the tournament and if you disregard USA, he is best player by a large distance. Supporting cast is limited but they play defense and make a lot of open shots Luka generates. Slovenia showed they can play against team with dominant bigs, it remains to be seen if they can play against team with better guards like Argentina or Spain. Overall I would say Slovenia is certainly in a wider circle of medal contenders. US is a level higher above everyone else, than probably France. Australia and Nigeria have some interesting talent but it remains to be seen how they will work once it gets serious. Spain team is extremely experienced but really old. Rest I think are a tier lower.
I wonder if Luka's games will be televised

Sure they will be. In Slovenia for sure Smile

I think they will have at least some of the games available for streaming. You may need to have a provider login to get past the first hour though.

I'm not trying to support or counter the notion that Luka is easy or hard to get along with, but I don't read into much with the National Team.  He's orders of magnitude the best player on the team so you aren't likely to have the same types of conflicts that can occur in the NBA.

Maybe I'm just a bad body language doctor but it seems like Luka has played with more joy in the Olympics than we saw for most of the past season in the NBA.

Wait a minute now. How is that different from the past season with the Mavs? Basically KP's (allegedly) misplaced inflated self-image and that's it.

The talent gap between his national team and the Mavs roster is the differences.

For the record, I don't buy into the narrative that Luka is hard to get along with.  I do however see that he could be hard to play with as he dominates the ball so much.  I see it more as a his side, her side and then the truth situation.

And a coach that Luka apparently clashed with pretty extensively.

It actually fits pretty well with what Redick said and everybody says about Luka. He´s just one of the guys. He´s not a diva and that was probably Carlisle´s downfall. Luka wanted Carlisle to treat everybody the same as a player and a person. Carlisle thought he only needed to treat those well that hold considerable power over him (which is basically Luka and maybe Porzingis to an extent), while he can be an asshole to everybody else, if he has a bad day.  Lots of superstars would eat up such a behaviour. Kevin Durant would probably make five fake social media accounts to send out love emojis, but it completely turned Luka off.

Dirk is too humble.

Noone is or was better than Dirk during the 2011 playoffs! At any point of any player’s career!
