Six quadruple-doubles have been recorded in NBA history.  Of the five players (Hakeem had two QD) only Alvin Robertson (Feb 18, 1986) got his QD with PTS, REB, AST and STL.  The rest of them got theirs via PTS, REB, AST, and BLK.  I would love to see Luka's name of that list one day.

Holy shit.
Love Luka, but the one thing yet to come around in his game is the 3p%. Not good tonight again.

He was above his career average Smile

Actually I get worried when he makes a couple. He becomes too shot happy.

I like our offense better when he is 1/6 or 0/5 from three.
Luka's fumbling the ball in traffic was more concerning tonight than his shooting. His defense was pretty solid though. He had several blocks and more than held his own against Gordon.

I can't wait until RPM numbers come out.
I honestly don’t care if he shoots at a higher rate. The more he takes the worse the offense is. Makes less and takes less. Makes that extra pass to the open guy.

ALSO he seems to take it inside more and/or shoot the midrange jumper. Which I didn’t even think he’s have this soon. If that mid range game gets really good or even Kawhi like in consistency, he won’t really need to improve that 3 much at all. He’ll be even more dangerous.
Tim Cato did some math and said on a podcast that if Luka shot 35% from 3 last season instead of his 31%, it would have equated to about 1 more three PER WEEK

To that effect I think we're all focusing on the one subpar thing in what is otherwise a near flawless package. Maybe Luka just doesn't need a consistent 3 to be elite? Maybe he just needs to be juuuuuussst good enough so teams have to at least run out at him, and in turn it lets him drive more. b
He's really doing a much better job on defense so I can forgive most of his chucking. I do wish he'd just take the open threes instead of dribbling into his step backs.
Someone on RealGM made this thread about Luka's shooting, comparing it to Young and Trae.
Basically, while Luka is shooting bad, he is actually shooting them "later"

The fact that Luka has bought in defensively is huge for us. It’s not even necessary to put him on the other teams worst 1-4 player. Add that to the clutch time production and we are sitting in ideal position to make some real noise this year

Totally agree with this. Huge positive development that hasn't gotten enough shine around here. This bodes extremely well for the future, as it will make team-building significantly more simple and easy.

I still think this team is 2-3 years away, personally. But, getting closer every day!

We are probably 2-3 years away objectively from championship. That’s more realistic for expectations. But.......we have the MVP it looks like.....assuming health of course. Just glanced at the past 20 MVP’s or so. Every one it looks like got at least to the 2nd round outside of Dirk lol. Most years the MVP gets to the conference finals. So just going based on history alone we are tracking toward being at least one of the last 4 or 8 teams out at the end
