Dirk's best attribute was that he was always realistic and honest. No matter the subject I felt that Dirk's takes were always grounded in an objective view even about himself. 

Objectively THJ and KP aren't cornerstones, so I'm not surprised at all that Dirk didn't mention them. They are valuable role players though and perhaps are good enough to be considered championship caliber (I hope!), but no team is going to build around those two as their franchise cornerstones.

Although MC is paying KP like a cornerstone.

But it seemed like a good idea at the time.
