Give the refs an enormous raise, but with the agreement that they either dissolve their union or that it has to give in to way more transparency with making poor calls public, and if you do a bad enough job you’re out.

The voice over is perfect timing to boot!

Is that Boozer?

Yes, Carlos Booz Cruise.
I am ab 90% sure Luka will make sure he gets that T for one of the Cavs games. Nets/Cavs is a back-to-back so it would be perfect to give Luka the night off agains the Cavs. The other option would be to make sure he plays that B2B since Mavs tend to lose those and give him that "rest" game against the next Cavs matchup a couple days later.

Suspended a game means no paycheck for that game

I think Luka will try and go without losing money
He was noticeably quiet with the refs during the MIA game. Probably was easier for him as they were winning, but definitiely tried to keep the reactions down.

He could not argue a call for the next three years and nothing will change. I firmly believe that the way the league treats him has nothing to do with his complaining. It’s anti-Maverick bias. That’s one of the only explanations I can think of for the way he gets officiated. He doesn’t complain any more than most of the NBA yet somehow it’s only a problem when he does it. I don’t buy it. Dirk didn’t argue that much and teams routinely got away with mauling him.

LoL at the Joe Ingles comments. They just have to do a Crocodile Dundee remake with Joe Ingles.

I think you are correct with the general bias. I still have some hope it might get better Luka solidifies his superstar status and reduces it a bit, but he'll most likely never get away with stuff LeBron does for example.

Anyway, regarding this seasons technical fouls, it's hard to give one to Luka for "unsportsmanlike conduct " if he does not gesture or talk towards a ref or opponent at all. They might still find a way if they want of course.
I have to wonder when the Mavs are going to go back to last year's lineup. Rick has been circling this idea for a few weeks now. We have seen more Powell starts. THJ has started a couple times in place of J Rich. J Rich finally got benched in the 2nd half last night. THJ has caught on fire. It's got to happen, there's just no reason left to not start that same lineup and at least see how it fares.

It's going to put a huge amount of pressure on JB as "the guy" off the bench, but he's one of our best players, and it's time for that step-up. The Mavs have a huge winning percentage in games they led after the first quarter. A starting lineup with THJ ought to make that a pretty constant thing. If they went the rest of their games leading after the first quarter = championship? Hmmm...

He got his last "unsportsmanlike" tech for shooting the ball after the game was stopped.

So you are always at the grace of the Refs
Mavs 8-3 in the past 11 games. If it weren't for not being able to beat a certain lottery team, we'd be on an 11-game winning streak.
