Don’t look now but 8 of the next 9 against .500 or below squads. Now’s the time to move up to a safe position in the standings

But a lot of dangerous games. Minnesota is playing better lately. Indiana is next in line also capable of more than their current score shows.

Why would he do that after a 40 point win. Had to recheck the ending. Not true. He is there shaking hands with Portland players.

Supposedly he came back out.

He 100% walked off frustrated after Luka did not pass it to him. Saw it with my own eyes. Didn't see what happened after he went off frame.

All I saw was KP hanging his head when Luka did the fake behind-the-back to DFS. To be fair, KP was wide open on the play.

Josh was as well.  Looked to me like the defender had the pass defended directly to KP and that is why Luka went to the cutter.  IDK.

Mavs were up by 30. Luka intentionally not passing to KP or Luka trying to create something magical? Mavs won by 40 and play great as of late. I think there is something better to discuss.

Portland is somehow not a KP cup of tea. But I think he had a good game. Didn't force it. Made a couple of nice passes.

Luka made a dumb pass. It’s frustrating. The difference is that Richardson helped his teammate off of the floor instead of walking away like a pouty little bitch.

Get that dude out of here before he gets injured again, Donnie.

Seriously.

People acting like this stuff is nothing are burying their heads in the sand. It is not the end of the world and it could be fixed, but it is alarming and there are no signs of real improvement IMO.

We often feel like Luka is freezing KP out on offense and this might just be the straw that breaks the camel's back in their basketball relationship.  Luka's got some growing up to do.  I'm not saying KP handled the situation correctly but I get the frustration.  It just feels disrespectful.   I do think it's we need to move on from KP at the TDL or offseason.  The pairing just isn't working.

I'm pretty sure when we dumped a ton of assets to acquire KP and then gave him a max contract, the idea was to get more than 7 shots attempts from him in any given gave.  That's a massive failure on the part of the offense.
Watching the video, even Kleber runs into frame at the end to show that he’s there to help his teammates and congratulate them.

I know we can’t judge KP by one snapshot, but I viscerally dislike how he comported himself in that, specific situation.

I do agree that Luka should have passed him the ball, but any other way of handling it would’ve been better. Even getting in Luka’s face and saying “give me the ball, kid” in an aggressive way would’ve been a step up, imo. Luka IS just a kid, after all. He needs guidance, no matter how great he is. You’d think a 25 year old Porzingis would notice there’s a leadership vacuum on this team and try to make himself more valuable by filling it.

18 shot attempts in the last two games for KP.

You are 100% correct, the biggest issue is that the pairing is NOT thriving. They should be making each other better and elevating each other's game and there is almost ZERO helpful chemistry from them on the offensive end.

The Mavs should be WAY better than they are. They are underperforming with how good Luka is playing.

KP is damned if he does and damned if he doesn't in that situation.  Luka is fan and pundit darling and his co-star is getting spit-roasted.  "OMG he stormed off the court" would turn into "OMG why he is upset in a blowout victory and demanding the ball".  Luka is great and all, but if I'm playing great and my co-star is struggling, I'd do my damnedest to get the guy involved.  If not in a blow game, then when?  And if not in that play, then when?

If I'm in KP's situation, I'd want out of this situation.  If this continues to play out, it's not good for his career long term.
