Personally, I hope so.

In my imagining of the after-life, the Mavs play every day, and they never lose.

...and I don't have to listen to Harper while I watch.
Dwight Powell is the current got a job for life player...I believe when he stops playing he will be employed by the Mavs in a non player position...

LOL.

You know, if you really don't want to listen to Harp, you can always mute the TV and synch up Coop's radio broadcast. Assuming you like him any better, of course.

If I'm stuck driving during a game I enjoy listening to Coop...he does a good job and helps those who have to work or drive...

Now that the Redick experiment is over the Mavs need a new podcast guy. Powell is the perfect option. Smart, great teammate, respected around the league.

1. Luka was asked about his fit with KP: "He is a great player. I don't know what we're going to do next year with the whole roster."

2. Carlisle was asked about KP's production: "KP has great value... We'll study it ...and see where this roster goes."

Ding, ding, ding!

To be fair he did say in his exit interview that in the NBA you have new teammates every year and its still odd for him, so he could just be commenting on that culture instead of the actual KP-Luka relationship.

I wouldn't really read into that comment, at least to me.

True, maybe he was just getting out what he wanted to say and used that question to do it.  Maybe.

KP is like trading in a car that I want to work but just has a lot of maintenance expense.  Fun to drive but conks out on you midway through an important trip.  Always in the shop.  The dealership wants to give you pennies on the dollar for the new car that should be more reliable but not as unicorny.  Hard decision to make especially if the car runs and drives well in the future for another owner.  Kinda like my Curry car I traded in last year.

Can't believe we wasted a second round pick getting him.

You can't?

Sadly, I can believe it all too easily.

One less wasted drafted player I guess. Mavs traded two guys not in the rotation for a guy that could have helped them in the playoffs had he stayed healthy. He *almost* was healthy enough I guess? Didn't work out but I am not going to cry over a 2nd round pick.

Is that akin to missionary position?

I think it's more like Standing Cowboy

True.  Why are they so fucking bad at this?

"There is obviously a potential that I end up there in the future...my focus right now is just gonna be on my health."

Wouldn´t rule out a return of JJR. Especially if the Mavs decide to operate over the cap. Exactly the kind of player that gets BAE money at this stage of his career. Or maybe simply a bigger one year deal.

His podcast numbers must be through the roof Cool , that he consider a return in the future.

I bet Cuban is so dense, he believes this BS trade has raised the Mavs profile throughout the league.

Interesting.  I think he still has more left...if he can stay healthy.   I am not sure I love the fit if our bench consisted of him, Brunson and Hardaway (factoring on him being back), and wanting to get minutes to Josh Green too.

But a healthy Reddick probably would have helped against the Clippers.

It is smart for him and the Mavs to keep their options open at this point.

Right Mavs can pay him above market value since they have his rights.
