I spent a few seconds trying to imagine the timeline involved, and wondering why those three were at a chucky cheese type place at the same time.
But then it occurred to me that they "banned" those guys because of them being hated among Mavs fans, and that they had never been there and wouldn't care a bit. Is that what happened? Please tell me that's not an actual story.

But 21 out of 27 seasons with a winning record (and another season where he was 500) for 6 different teams.
#6 in all time wins.
You don't do that as a bad coach. But he definitely wasn't an X's and O's coach which I think you almost have to be to win titles. But considering only 33 coaches have won titles it's hard to judge coaches entirely on titles.

I liked him with the Sonics, he just ran into Jordan. He's a cancer survivor so I'll always respect that as that speaks personally to me. I did not love the work he put in after the Sonics though.

Small raise. I think RC was getting paid about 7 mil a year here. That contract with the Pacers is a little bit more than that.
Also I think you can make an argument that the Mavs really wanted to get out from RC, given that his and Luka's relationship became untenable.
