With Rick's no support for Mosley, the contentious relationship with Luka, and Mosley's fabled status as "Luka's guy"... I've wondered.
1) Did Rick feel threatened by that relationship or feel that it got in the way of his relationship with Luka?
2) Even further, did Rick perceive that Mosley attempted to gain influence through that relationship, maybe at Rick's expense, and that is why Rick wasn't in his corner?

Could be the case and some media guys are speculating about it as well.
I think the comments in the interview had nothing to do with it. RC simply leaked the Kidd signing. He probably knew it as soon as it happened. Imagine RC endorsing Mosley when the Mavs had already signed Kidd. Would look pretty bad for the Mavs.

Nothing concrete, just some speculation that he wouldn't be back.
McMahon basically said that Cuban (and Carlisle) valued his data and insights tremendously, but that Voulgaris never wanted to be GM. Didn't want to be the guy on the phones with agents, etc. He speculated that being thrust into the limelight the way he was last week might mean that Bob wouldn't even want to be involved in the future.

Just so much inner turmoil, it's a miracle they were able to make it to the 5th seed this season. Donnie/Luka vs. Voulgaris, RC vs. Mosley/Luka, KP vs. everyone, we may really never know what happened because everyone will have their own side of the story

This. Looks like a toxic work place environment. In this case a clean out might have been the only option. Cuban is the owner (and in my opinion still the biggest problem) but but he won´t fire himself. Looks like all protagonists clashed on different topics. Luka vs Bob/RC and the analytical approach. Bob vs RC when it comes to lineups and in game stuff. Donnie/RC vs Bob in a power struggle. Entire scouting department vs Bob because they lost their power. Cuban/Bob vs everybody.
Unkown...Mosley vs RC? Mosley trying to take advantage of his good relationship with Luka. RC feeling threatened.
My biggest questions right now. What was Finley doing? He is the only one that is left.

This thing has become so complex. This board will need months or eben years to discuss, what was eben going on. So far I assumed RC was out because of Donnie leaving. If he actually was on good terms with Voulgaris, this doesn't make sense anymore. If he was scared of Mosley getting the job, why didn't Mosley get the job, when he was the obvious solution?
