I mean really ??

100% YES.  Watch the play again and you'll see that his own teammates and coaches bitched him out after the game for ruining Dirk's fairytale ending.

Here's an Athletic.com article that mentions it.  Clearly I'm not alone.

And you say "really??" as if you're just now learning that sports fans have never ending rational/irrational hatred for certain players.  Kiki Vandeweghe says 'hi'.

I’ll always be bitter at that little bitch for doing that.
I wonder if Luka will play for Slovenia this summer now that we are out.

Would be fun to watch he and Dragic get together.
I'm ready for some guys that play with an EDGE.  Guys that can actually play, not James Johnson.

Richaun Holmes
TJ McConnell
Marcus Smart
Lowry
Unfortunately, if this roster can’t support the greatest 22 year old ever to better than back to back mediocre regular seasons and 1st round playoff failures, there’s just no room to give one of them a big contract.  The Mavs need to turn at least half of the rotation over and probably bring in 3 or 4 new starters.  This is a failed roster.

Dragic will not play, he retired from national team after we won Euro championship. I hope Luka rests, national team is not serious. Second best player is Cancar from Denver. The coach is an assistant coach from Czech league. Waste of Luka time to play olympic qualifications with this kind of effort they are giving.

I think the national team is a perfect opportunity for Luka to maintain his conditioning and perhaps even get more in shape.

Luka has improved every single season. I am not worried at all he will be working his ass off, as he has before.

I pray goodness you aren't attempting to argue that his conditioning is adequate.
We dont need additional wear and tear on his body.  He already carries the single biggest load in the NBA and is coming off a short offseason.  That is a recipe for something disastrous happening.
It’s the Olympics.  He’s 22.  He’s going to play.

It's the Olympics qualifications with little hope we can actually make it to Olympics. He is saying he wants to play, but I hope he will not Smile

If a true-blue Slovenian national feels this way, who are we to disagree? Cuban has spoken out against risking team assets for international play many times in the past, so we know how he feels.

Omahen, does your average countryman feel the same as you, or do you think Luka will feel pressure to play for his country?
Cubes is right.

The question is, is there a coach out there that is undoubtedly better than RC? And I don't think there is. Maybe Dantoni but he's never done anything on the big stage.

But it's hard to say RC has done a great job the last 3 years.

There are different opinions, of course a lot of people would like to see Doncic, but there are also a lot of people who thinks as I do. All in all, I think people would understand if he would prefer rest. Team is really not good.

In my opinion - you are not serious if you hire an assistant from a team from Czech basketball league to be a coach of a national team that would like to include a top five player in the world. That is an insult to that player. It is also an insult to me as a fan.

Luka Doncic is either the exact, ideal type of dude or really good at faking it.

Either way, I'm here for it.
