Watched the press conference prior to reading comments here. I thought they did well. There were some Kidd past questions but he said what was expected and you just have to take him at his word. I do.

I was the very first to leave, but I hired a Pacific representative to maintain my beachfront properties, just in case. You won't collect a dime from me, regardless of what happens.

If Kidd is this insecure, he's probably more worried about the guy who has a decade-long relationship with Luka and can talk with him in his native language.

Kidd sounded like a robot. Took me aback how unnatural he sounded at times. Probably its his media veneer and is actually more affable behind the scenes given how many players like him.

I think it's obvious Voulgaris is still here. I don't think that's inherently a bad thing. IF we take the rumors at face value that Bob prioritized resigning Seth Curry, and was a key cog in targeting Luka/Brunson, then he does have some good analytics. His only problem is that he's abrasive and an asshole if the reports of him are true.
Thankfully his job requirements means he can always be remote and let Kidd and Mark know whatever he thinks through email/phone calls. If he's never around the team he isn't a problem. I think the only reason why Bob's name blew up is because him and RC clashed over rotations and it happened often. RC had one idea, Bob's numbers were telling him something different. Add in RC's perceived undermining from Mosely and you had a dysfunctional coaching staff that was pulled in lots of directions.

Now I'm super excited. Kokoskov is exactly the type of assistant I had in mind when Kidd was hired. He's an incredibly experienced assistant, has a positive history with Luka, and has some previous head coaching experience. If true it shows that Cubes is willing to spend whatever it takes to get the guys he perceives as the right guys.
The other two hires seems to be Kidd's guys. Sweeny was with him in BRK and MIL and is known to be a good development. This St. Jean guy is a relative unknown but seems to have a hustler backstory I can get behind. Interested to see the final 1-2 hires to round out the coaching staff.

Who said Nico was unhappy. I thought he looked quite excited for the opportunity. Also he definitely seems like a guy that plays his cards to his chest. He answered a lot of blunt questions well.
