BULL. SHIT.

BULL. SHIT.

Why is ESPN trying to help the Knicks avoid tampering charges?
And the Knicks did it by throwing an absurd contract at the guy that won't take them anywhere close to the playoffs.

Sure the Knicks got their guy, but we're lamenting a guy who isn't even in our top 3 most important in terms of actually winning games.

Luka, DFS, Maxi, and then Brunson.
Knicks and Brunson rubbing it in at this point. Poetic justice.

Cuban is a JOKE!

Because Woj wants to keep his sources happy. He's more than ok to do this if it means they keep feeding him info.

The only issue is that the Mavs can say they never offered JB anything like that/never met with him, and Shams already tweeted out BEFORE free agency was supposed to open that they had already agreed on the terms.
Cuban loses again.

I kind of feel sorry for Harrison and Finley. They'll seem more and more incompetent as time passes around here. If they're smart, they'll find a way to leave when Luka does.

You heading out with them? Or before?

Finley has been around long enough to earn the scarlet letter and my hopes of Nico being an amazing pitch man and relationship guy are fading fast.

Sadly, I am a hardcore Mavs fan and have no choice but to suffer through this gauntlet of incompetence, bouncing from one fresh Hell to another, over and over, until mercy intervenes and my life ends.

But if I weren't a fan? If I were a professional in the basketball industry? I'd be off of this ship as fast as possible.

What is there to pitch? Mavs have no cap space, and are already in the TAX. Take a discount and please help us out is the pitch. The Cuban Special.

It's only "hell" because of your expectations and snap judgments. Wink
It’s quite incredible how some “Mavs fans” can seem happy about the team getting worse.
I feel like a mix between Fredo and Juan Trippe dropping an f-bomb at the end of The Aviator.

Everybody copes with grief in their own ways

Apparently, players like Jalen Brunson are dime a dozen. Mavs won't miss a beat!

The team has less talent than Jokic's Nuggets last season, and Mavs weren't even that much further than them in the W/L column. So even with a Luka-MVP type season, I am seeing 6th/7th seed at best unless Christian Wood turns into an all-star lock. But I highly doubt that happens.

The 2022-2023 roster for the Mavs is NOT set. So we have NO IDEA if the team "got worse" or "better" yet.

Mavs could have still offered a larger contract and more years despite their cap and tax situation.  The point is they couldn't even get a conversation with him.

The hilarious thing is that while you're right, a lot of fans around here actually think this, the Mavs do not. They wanted him (needed him) BADLY.

I bet they're WAY more butt hurt about it right now than anybody here. This is a huge, colossal, embarrassing failure for them.
