Kings guard Bogdan Bogdanovic said the team has offered him a maximum contract extension that would pay more than $50 million and keep him in Sacramento for four more years, but he is in no hurry to sign it.
Bogdanovic told The Sacramento Bee he wants to take his time with the decision. He would prefer to remain in Sacramento, but he could receive more lucrative offers if he waits to become a restricted free agent this summer.
“I would like to stay,” Bogdanovic said. “Everyone knows that I love Sacramento. Everyone loves to be here. It’s a great group of guys. I’m happy right now and I was happy all these years, but I don’t want to rush anything.”

The Kings are involved in negotiations with Bogdanovic and guard Buddy Hield as they prepare to close out their preseason schedule against Melbourne United of Australia on Wednesday at Golden 1 Center. Point guard De’Aaron Fox will not play due to a sore lower back following a physical 128-115 victory over the Utah Jazz on Monday in Salt Lake City.

The Kings have until Oct. 21 to re-sign Hield and until June 30 to re-sign Bogdanovic or both players will become restricted free agents this summer. The team views Hield, 26, and Bogdanovic, 27, as important pieces of a talented core that could lead Sacramento back to the playoffs for the first time since 2006. However, general manager Vlade Divac and his front office must manage the salary cap carefully with Fox and forward Marvin Bagley III set to become eligible for their own extensions in 2020 and 2021, respectively.
Bogdanovic could be a very nice fit for our team. Either as a number 3 guy or excellent number 6 guy. He can create for himself, he is an excellent shooter.

So, let' do Lee and 2 second rounders for him, as he doesn't want to resign with Sacramento anyway :-)

Alternatively, we can trade THJ and 2 second rounders for that stupid Cory Joseph contract and Bogdanovic :-)
Man, i'd love Bogdanovic. He can shoot. I bet he'd love to be here as well with KP & Luka. Its unfortunate he will be restricted though.

That's why we have to trade for him and Sacramento seems to like players we don't want :-)

Time will tell. 80 million is a lot of money :-) there were cases of some hot dog loving players that ended with far less money when they took their bet.
Based on his performances so far the offer is fair. Let's see if he can make a big leap as he hopes
Watching Dennis Smith Jr. Looks pretty unimpressive so far. Man, glad we got KP.

1-5 shooting, 4 pts, 3 asts, 3 TOs, 4 PFs, 21 mins....
OMG, is anybody watching the Lakers now?  Wow, dealing with this bunch is going to be tough.  The length they can keep on the floor is just incredible, with Davis, McGee, Howard, Lebron, Green, Cousins(when he can play).

He may eventually blossom but he was clearly on a different timescale than Luka or even Brunson. Glad we moved on and cashed in on his value.

I hope that gets JA some extra playing time, MM is a douche! I wanted him for his toughness, I’m now glad he didn’t come here after seeing that which is when you can’t control your macho.

What a punk!

They out there try-harding vs D-Lo, Draymond and a bunch of scrubs. Compensating for something I think.

Now this is news

I really wonder what Wizards will do now. Outside of Beal they have the Wall albatross contract, expiring contracts of Mahinmi and Miles. Bertans, Bryant and Hachimura could be a decent young role playing core. The rest is more or less worthless. Keeping Wall and Beal is a guranteed mediocrity even if Wall returns to his previous production.

1. They can't really go into full rebuild mode as having Beal will certainly keep them from the bottom. Mahinmi or Miles are most likely not good enough to generate assets at TDL. They would really have to be lucky in the lottery or pick a franchise player with some number 10 picks in future years.

2. The other option is to try to win now:
a) There is only one contract bad enough to have hope to move Wall - CP3. Wall and a minor asset might be enough. OKC gets a bit younger player on equally bad contract and get rid of CP3 contract without giving up assets. If Wall returns to approximately decent level, they might be still able to move his contract for something usefull in 2 years. CP3 is a win now player.
b) expiring contracts of Mahinmi and Miles are enough for a trade for Love, as Washington has their picks left. Adding Smith or minor asset (plus a gazillion of picks) might also be enough for Griffin.
c) they can look for some experienced vets cut at TDL

A line-up of CP3-Beal-Hachimura-Love-Bryant with Bertans, Smith, Thomas and some youngsters on the bench should be enough to be decent in the east, but probabyl not really top. They would have some serious shooting.

Buddy talking about leaving the Kings if he don't get his contract by Monday.
Personally, if i had a choice; I'd rather pay Buddy than Brown.
22 million a year seems like a pretty good offer for a guy like Hield.
