After winning 13 in a row versus quality championship contenders; Utah has lost 4 in a row. They've lost to the Blazers, Nuggets, Spurs, Rockets, and SHOULD have lost against the Mavs.

They play Nuggets in Utah tonight.

Pretenders.

I don't think so. Every contender has had ups and downs, except the Bucks. They seem to be on a mission.
Ge makes good points.  Why is Stef slow playing coming back?  Is it due to helping GS land a better lotto ball?  Pretty fishy

Obviously protecting the pick. Warriors are reloading and will be back in contention next year.
Healthy Curry, Klay, Green + Russell or whatever he can net in a trade + a high lottery pick (with a good chance to land in the top 3 or 5)
The supporting cast was over the hill anyway and a longer break might be exactly what they needed. Reminds me a little bit of MJ taking a break. Mental exhaustion was probably a bigger problem than any injuries they suffered.

On a different note. Just checked a few boxscores and was amazed by Rick Rubio.

16min

0 PTS
0 REB
10 AST

Only attempted 2 FGs. 2 TOV. Talk about a pass first PG.
Heat/Clippers should be a good one.
OKC won again and took Dallas 6th spot now.
I have no respect for KD.  Its him that keeps bringing up OKC not fans.

This does prove exactly what I’ve said since he left.  He did not intentionally throw the series but he just as well have.  He was mentally checked out and knew he was going to GS and then he choked.

If he would just get past it so would fans.

Lol, Covington putting the game away for the Rockets over the Lakers.
Rockets are about to run away with the division...this new lineup is what D'antoni loves for his system. It may not work in the playoffs but it will win them lots of regular season games from now until the end.
I think this Rockets team will be a nightmare for our Mavs.. sucks to admit. But who knows, we haven't seen playoff Luka yet.

Remains to be seen. If the 3's aren't falling, they're vulnerable vs big teams. They got away with one last night vs the Lakers, who didn't play well, and turned it over trying to force the ball inside.

LeGM was tired from working the phones trying.to get players he wanted while moving out players he thought would not help win more rings...then he had the All Star draft later that day also...

I’m still not sold on them.  Russ has been playing great and not taking many 3’s but the doubling Harden is working and he is playing bad not getting in a groove.  They hit a high per ent on other player 3’s but won’t keep that up.  And Lakers settled for too many 3’s instead of pounding inside.  This type play is gonna wear Rox out and other teams are sure to exploit inside.  That in then will get Rox in foul trouble.  Will be interesting to see what happens but I they are in trouble.

If LAL, LAC, Den and Houston take first four places, I would wish to play against them and not the other three. I think this goes for OKC as well. I am also not sold on Houston. Based on how they play currently I wonder if it would not be better to leave Harden score his 50 points and shut down the others, who are totally depending on Harden creating space for them.
Tucker is not your typical 6´6. Build like a tank. Centers might be able to shoot over him but backing him down in the post isn´t easy. RoCo has a great wingspan and is one of the best if not the best help defender in the league. Both are undersized but for Houstons scheme they are perfect because they can at least somewhat make up for the lack of a true bigman.

Pretenders.

Denver was purposely picking on Conley's defense every time he was on the court.   It's a problem.

You are correct about Conley. He's been a train wreck this year. Injuries are part of it, but my goodness, he's been horrible.
