I'd love to get in on that. Not sure what we could give them though

Problem is they gave Harrison Barnes 22M per year. And Hield is not wrong that he's worth more than Harry B.
Kings are even already expressing remorse at giving out that contract for setting that market

I'm soooo in on this! Maxi and JJ and 1 or 2 second rounders for Sabonis and McDermott.

You have to consider his future contract. Are you willing to pay 100mio for a player like Sabonis? Same for a player like Jaylen Brown or Buddy Hield. They know the market and lack of quality free agents next summer. They also know that an average player like Harrison Barnes got 85/4.
They probably want max or at least near max money and it very likely that they will find a team that is willing to pay them. I don´t know if I want the Mavs to be that team.

I don't think Sabonis is worth more than 15 per, at least not for Dallas. All star Vucevic got 25 per and Sabonis is no where near him yet.

Hield and Brown would be excellent number 3 options for us. If Hield can maintain last season production, he is worth that 110/5 years. Brown is a bit of a gamble - he hasn't showed yet, he is worth more than 90 mil extension. He has the potential though.
Kind of hoping we get Buddy home next summer or trade deadline.  Would be a good way to help fill seats during rebuild.  Plus he’s turned out pretty good.

The Rabb part surprised. Thought he's looked like a rotation guy. He'll help the Clips or Celtics

Sure. The guy averaged 14-9-3 in only 24 minutes a game last season. Indiana was also noticeably better on defense with him on the floor. Ticks needed boxes for us in rebounding, physicality, interior scoring, and he's only 23.

Factor there won't be many teams out there next year who even could offer him a 100 mil contract after what Daryl Morey did to next year's salary cap and it seems like a perfect time to buy.
Sabonis should be easier to trade for compared to Hield but I struggle to see how we‘d even have the assets for him.

Maybe a deal around Kleber could be the starting point? I‘ve read somewhere that Indy is thin at PF and could use another playable shooting big.

Brunson
???
Doncic
Porzingis
Sabonis

would be a supremely skilled and high IQ core. All in their early 20s and I think Sabonis would be a good fit here. He‘s like a high BBIQ-version of Randle. Fun idea.

I think him and KP would work very well together.

There is likely to be a lot of interest in Sabonis on the market. However, because he’s a center (a position teams are careful not to overspend on in today’s market) and in the last year of his rookie deal — meaning he becomes a restricted free agent next summer and gets more expensive — teams are not going to overpay for him. Right now the Pacers are asking for too much and interested teams are lowballing their offers. The sides will meet in the middle.

Mavs should claim Rabb and waive Broekoff.

I hardly doubt it. Any player MBT brings in has to be able to shoot some threes nowadays. Even Boban does.

Ivan Rabb? Not so much...
Hield deal is heavy with possible bonuses, up to 20 million. It is also very team friendly, decreasing 8 % each year
