FIFY. He's been a little bit more average.

Scored 15pts. Played solid defense.

5 fouls on Jokic and Plumlee has been terrible. Not looking good.
Jamal Murray is good at basketball.
I want the Nuggets to win but I also want to see LeBron against the Heats zone. Really think that the Heat would beat the Lakers if both teams make it to the finals.

I just want to see them beat regardless.

Would be much sweeter if LeBron was beaten by his former team and the same scheme that already exposed him in 2011.
My feed stopped working, but twitter says the refs are giving it to the Lakers. Is that true?

I get how their entire playoff run has been unexpected, but my goodness, if you've been watching the playoffs then you know they've been amazing.

I'm tempted to pick them over the Lakers.

BTW, if you're still holding onto your old Mavs/Heat related hatred, I get it. Just know that you are missing out, because they play hard, they play the right way and they are REALLY fun to watch. Tough to believe I know, but they're the GOOD GUYS right now.

I'm just in awe of Spoelstra's coaching. He and Jimmy have their young team tough and confident. This could be the year that a good *team* wins as opposed to one of these Frankenstein's monsters built by free agency shenanigans. Of course, the same would be true in the unlikely event that Denver or Boston won in the finals. Caveat - although there's a lot of good coaching and drafting going on with the Heat, the way they acquired Butler is certainly Frankenstein-esque.

Anyone else pissed off about this? Eff the Lakers.

How can he be fouled if he is shoving the defender out of the way when making his move?
Complete joke that LeBron is allowed to foul Murray on every single drive. Not to mention that LBJ and AD combined for 26 FTA. Jokic and Murray combined for 8.

He is. But Luka is ultimately WAY better (though definitely not in the clutch right now) and one of the ways you can tell is that it doesn't look "easy" for Murray. Everything looks hard. For Luka? Everything looks so easy.

Welp, hopefully the comeback kids can do it again.

I fully expected to see the referees respond to the Lakers complaints by giving Lebron calls and they absolutely did not disappoint.  Reggie Miller commented on as the game was ending then Kenny Smith brought it up too on the post game.  Of course everyone can only 'mention' it sarcastically and move on or they'd be looking at fines and action from the league.

I watched the calls and Lebron was getting the tier 1 Harden treatment especially when he drove to the hoop.  It literally is impossible to play good defense on a guy that drives into your body if the ref is going to do what they did.   Then to top it off Lebron got away with mugging Murray which was clear on replay at a key bucket as the Nuggets were closing the gap with the game still in play.

Of course it wasn't lost on Mike Malone
What an absolute sham.
Quote:In the aftermath of Denver’s Game 4 loss to the Lakers, Malone quipped he’d be going “through the proper channels” to make sure the NBA saw exactly what the Nuggets saw. It was a line ripped directly from Lakers coach Frank Vogel, who disclosed to reporters Wednesday that his team submitted plays to the league concerning LeBron James.

Malone wouldn’t say whether he felt the Lakers’ ploy had any effect on what became a difficult whistle Thursday night, but there was no hiding his frustration at the free-throw disparity. The Lakers got to the line 35 times compared to just 23 trips for the Nuggets. James and Anthony Davis went there 28 times alone to help stake Los Angeles’ 3-1 series lead.

Personally I consider this series handed to the Lakers on the strength of this alone because the game was close enough that the friendly Lebron and Laker fouls could easily have flipped the series 2-2.

Murray and company know it but they understand that in the NBA the calls are just as political as the rest of the leagueDodgy   They have to "wait their turn" to earn ref respect. Evidently right now its still King James turn.
Malones comments were almost comical given that he had to avoid getting fined as well as hope his team can get a more fair shot next game.
What a crock.
Quote:“We’ll watch the film and send our clips in. We’ll reach out to the NBA and kind of make our points noted. … The NBA does a great job of listening. You hope that next game maybe some of those fouls are called.”
...
His star counterpart Nikola Jokic was mired in foul trouble in the fourth quarter.

As diplomatically and respectfully as possible, Murray made his case.
“They’re trying to do their job,” Murray said. “I mean, I did get fouled on a few. We could see the replay clearly.
I don't have a lot of sympathy for the Nuggets. The Mavs overcame worse in 2011, good teams can overcome a bad call. both teams shot the exact same amount of free throws in the series. when you're up against superstars you have to step it up more and despite having every opportunity to seize control of the game and series they haven't been able to do that. Is what it is

With regard to your 2011 reference - what about 2006?

I'll hang up and listen.

2006 was an atrocity, but it's also a poor comparison to make with this series imo. they aren't getting 2006'd. again I'd point out that they've shot the same amount of free throws after 4 games. The Heat shot 53 more than Dallas and Wade was shooting more than the entire team on a regular basis. There were some bad calls in the last game for example Murray got fouled on the drive, but it's not going to be remembered like 2006 was and still is widely known

i think as people who have followed the mavs and witnessed 2006 we have a special eye to know if something is rigged so I don't like to throw it around loosely because it almost diminishes the crime that happened to the mavs in 2006
Well, I do love how the Heat play great team ball, but I don't see them winning more than one game vs the Flakers.  Lebron will neutralize Butler and the rest of the Heat do not have the size to overcome the Lakers length and athleticism.
The Heat will play against a zone that hurted Lebron when he play against the Mavs in 2011. Its actually a bit more aggressive since the double teams go harder when players are at the sideline close to top of the arc. The irony is it will be against the team he use to play for using it on him. Nuggets defense is good, but Heat defense just robs you of possessions.
These series aren't over yet fellas. I hope the Heat close it out but Boston will put up a fight.
