Come on, I am getting tired of your zero expectations season Smile You have great players. Excellent vets in Paul, Gallo and Adams and useful 6th man Schroeder. The only thing unexpected is SGA explosion. And you clearly won the Houston trade - got picks and better player Smile A lot of us were saying you are a fringe play-off team. Price for your vets is only going up as you are not forced to sell at all. If someone wants one of your guys, they will have to pay a fortune.
CP was not happy at time of trade and I expected him to tank to preserve.  He kinda started that way but has done a 180.  That factored in.  I also thought 2-3 years for SGA to get this good.  And expected Gallo to be traded.  Dennis wasn’t this good last year.  Adams was injured to start year I thought they would spell him a ton in tank mode.  Didn’t expect Bazley to be this good either.  Nader has impressed.

Across the board for so many reasons I was not seeing it.  Even wanted Billy gone yet he is coaching his ass off.  Did not see this.  CP is key and normally a disgruntled player is bad news.  His attitude has changed.

I am happily wrong.  Eating crow as I type

Another come from behind (and road) win at a place we lost 9 in a row. Did we possibly fleece LAC on the trade?  I had no idea SGA was this damn good!  Get him to the ASG!

SGA with a cool 25/7/5 stat line
Adams with 14/8/3

I cannot believe we keep this up we play 17 games in Jan the schedule is rough with 10 away and 7 home.  But in last 6 games we won 5 and beat some contenders too.  Wins over Clippers, Hornets, Raptors, Mavs and now Spurs.  8-1 in last 9.

I am just beside myself as a fan.  180 from prior years high expectations and no results.

SGA was one of my faves going into that draft.

Good eye.  I never kept up since we had no picks that year.  Flew under radar for me.  Totally clueless about him til trade.  But wow, you were spot on he is amazing yet still learning.  No matter what happens with roster he is one of the long term pieces.  How Presti got all those draft picks too plus Gallo.  Wow.  Before I get ahead we are not in LAC league playoff wise.  We can rough up the first round opponent tho.
SGA was one of my fav players in that draft due to his mid range game which I love. A lot of coaches are so fixated on 3s that they miss gems like these.

Speaking of which MPJ is seriously beginning to remind everyone why he was once the consensus #1 pick. I hope he stays healthy. His game is so fluid. I am just glad we got Luka. Teams like the Knicks will be kicking themselves for playing it safe.

Might as well re-sign Gallo this summer right?
Quality player who really shouldn't be that expensive at his age. Not sure how many other bidders he'd have

And consolidating a few of those more recent picks into quality players makes a ton of sense to me. Just look at Boston and how many late firsts/ high 2nd rounders they've had recently who they havent been able to develop. Then keep the later year picks in case those teams fall apart (mainly looking at the Rockets there)
This just crazy he had 2 players mugging and even holding him yet gets the rebound.  He had 16 boards in the win.  This team is so fun to watch this year and now sit 20-15.  10 road games in Jan (7 home) and we are 2-0 both road wins.  Noel rolled an ankle so that will hurt.

Wizard beat the Nuggets without Beal, Bertans, Hachimura, Bryant and Wagner. Their bench went bongas with 92 points.
Strange year

There are 16 playoff seeds

Only 13 have winning records

17 teams have losing records

No one is 500.  Closest losing team is 14-16 then it drops to 16-20.

Same for winning teams the closest to 500 is OKC at 20-15.

No middle ground it seems.  But the western fight for 8 seed is with 7 teams with 20-24 losses.

The 1 seed might be a huge advantage this year

That's why if you don't respect your opponent, you can get popped. Denver probably thought,  We Got This. Clippers were blown out by the Grizz,  140-114.  You can lose to anybody.
Lakers had 20 blocked shots vs Detroit., in a 106-99 win. First team with 20 blocks in a game, since Toronto in 2001. Davis, McGee and Howard are why they lead the league, in them.

Not if the Warriors are close enough to make a run for it with Steph and get Klay back. Also Blazers get Nurkic back, too.

I fully expect Steph will return this year. But I can't say the same for Klay. I mean, what's the point?   Get fully healed, and come back next year.
I think Stef/staff will find ways to delay his comeback or find new ”injuries” once he is back.  They have no reason to play and my guess are tanking for high pick to turn into trade assets for next year.

Regardless what anyone thinks of him he is a cult hero in OKC not unlike Dirk/Mavs.  He did so much for the franchise and community.  He will get a standing ovation and a memories video.  I think Russ likely asked Rox to let him play against OKC vs play the prior game.  He would not want it any other way than to compete out of respect.

But once the game starts he is not a Thunder and I hope we beat them big.  My alliance is with the team and he is on the opposing team.  He will likely be very emotional and overtry which will help us get an early lead.  But pregame, nothing but praise and adoration.  Once game starts “go Thunder”.

And to make the night even more emotional the team is wearing their new City uniforms for the first time

Lonzo with four straight 20+ point games.  Is he finally figuring it out?

Refs robbed them big time against Utah. I am quite happy we already played three games against them, as league will be creating a lot of hype once Zion returns.
^^  Yup, he was fouled easy call.  They shoulda had 2 FTs

Guessing he'll be playing plenty in either China or Europe next year
