"The dinner featured players from several Balkan countries: Serbia (Nikola Jokić and Boban Marjanović), Slovenia (Luka Dončić, Dragić and Vlatko Čančar) and Montenegro (Nikola Vučević).

Ivica Zubac and Mario Hezonja (Croatia) and Jusuf Nurkić (Bosnia and Herzegovina) weren’t there the first night, but they joined the group the next day for brunch and then two days later for a second dinner.

Other Balkan Boys in the NBA include Bojan Bogdanović (Croatia), Bogdan Bogdanović (Serbia), Dario Šarić (Croatia), Nemanja Bjelica (Serbia), Dzanan Musa (Bosnia and Herzegovina), Luka Šamanić (Croatia), Alen Smailagić (Serbia), Marko Gudurić (Serbia) and Ante Žižić (Croatia). Bojan Bogdanović, Bogdan Bogdanović, Šarić and Bjelica are especially close with the Orlando group."

Like the article states, if Yugoslavia was still a nation, that team would be a serious threat in the Olympics.

Looked at the table and nobody made a lot of sense for us. The last sentence though. Saric and Bogdan would fit our team and both are RFAs. I wonder whether Milicic did enough damage to Joe Dumars that he´d send us Bogdan for Powell/Wright/18. Then sign Saric with the full MLE.

Doncic
Bogdanovic
Dorianic
Saric
Unicornic

Maverics. Big Grin
Good piece. I was asking before, what you guys think Houston will do after this season. They went all in and came empty handed and there is probably literally nothing they could do to be better next season. They still have at least 2 years of Harden left. But what for? There are literally no reserves left. No picks in 2020 and owner doesn't want to go into tax. No one will give better players for that awful Gordon and Westbrook contracts. Since we have a year or two of uncertainty and overall financial troubles - wouldn't it just make sense to blew it up and come back in a couple of years? Harden, Tucker and Covington can all bring great rebuilding pieces and picks.

Easy. Powell is too tall. Throw in JJB and we are good.
They'll trade Westrbook to New York for pennies on the dollar.

New York is stupid enough for something like that. Houston would receive #8 in a trade and use it for someone ready to contribute (or flip for veteran) and they could use player like Bullock. If they received more, they would flip it.

The NBA also had a call with the league’s 30 general managers on Friday. The league office added the 2020-21 season dates remain fluid following the four-and-a-half month hiatus due to the coronavirus pandemic, sources said. The NBA and National Basketball Association are planning for a Nov. 18 NBA draft.
For next season, the NBA prefers in-market competition with reduced travel and an amount of fans — instead of the bubble environment it is playing in currently, according to sources.
The league is aiming for an 82-game regular season in 2020-21.
The NBA is planning a Draft Combine process beginning later this month and in two parts:
— Mid-September to early October: In-market medical exams and on-court drills and virtual interviews.
— Mid-October to Draft date: Teams will be able to conduct in-person interviews with prospects — but no workouts.
Also of note, the NBA and G League, which have already acquired several top prospects such as Jalen Green and Jonathan Kuminga for the new elite team Ignite, now have significant interest in pursuing top international players prior to their draft season.
Clippers are doing whatever they want against the Nuggets. Millsap and Grant cannot stop Kawhi and cannot make a shot on offense because they are exhausted. Just like Maxi and DFS when they faced Kawhi.
Overall the Mavs made it a lot harder for the Clippers. They obviously couldn´t stop them but at least they could match them on offense. Murray was unstoppable against Utah. Against the Clippers he is not even scoring 20pts per game on terrible efficiency.
Lets remove Jokic due to injury and give Murray a tweaked ankle and see how they compare.  Oh well.

Yep, Luka and the Mavs are looking better and better.

I'm telling you guys, I wouldn't be so quick to make MAJOR changes to the roster unless I was damn sure they were good ass changes.
Dang, huge Nuggets comeback to take the lead with 3 minutes left!

Now, Jokic is killing the Nuggz by not taking shots that he should have taken.  He passes the ball and then they get terrible shots.
Kemba Walker is MIA vs Toronto. Lowry is out playing him. He only had 5 pts in game 6, and hasn't scored yet and it's the half way point of the 2nd qtr. I don't see Boston winning if he doesn't pick it up.
Pascal Siakam's ratings should drop in NBA2K. He's been a nightmare.

I legit feel bad for the guy. I've never seen anything like this.
Short reminder...the Mavs didn´t even make an offer for Marcus Smart two years ago. Just in the last 4 min of the game he had one steal, one block and one drawn charge. Not to mention the amount of misses he forced.
That is some terrible PG play by VanVleet.
