I think the only reason why I'm willingly falling for this trap is because its Buddy Love. He's been one of the few guys I've wanted A LOT for the last 2 years and defended probably more than I should have.

Perhaps Laurie did hear something. But it is also possible she heard wrong (nothing happened yet and she implied it is a "done deal"), or the deal didn't involve Mavs at all.

If I'm Indiana, I ask for Hardaway and Green, and if it's required to make the money work, I try to give back a low-salaried guy who isn't nearly as intriguing as Green has been this past month.

Are we interested? I could be talked into it, I suppose.

Fine by me.  I'd even throw in a second.  No FRPs though.
Good to know that there are no talks going on. Brooklyn, Philly, and Indy are all very happy with their teams. Only a crazy offer will budge them from their solitary focus of winning a championship with their perfectly-structured rosters.
So in a land of pipe dreams and speculation, what more does it take to get this done? This is all based on what @danschwartzgan and others have already proposed tapped into one transaction. I added Gallinari to the Atl trade because I don’t think a Collins for Barnes straight up gets it done.  Maybe a 2nd included to get Heild?

The numbers technically work as is, but I’m not sure the incentive is there for every team.

Dallas sends: KP, THJ, Bullock, Sterling Brown
Dallas receives: Holmes, Gallinari, Heild, Collins
Why: Dallas strengthens their front court, gets a better shooter in Heild, but has to take on Gallinari’s contract and Heild’s less favorable contract

Sacto sends: Bagley, Holmes, Barnes
Sacto receives: KP, Sterling Brown
Why: Improves front court pairing with Sabonis and gets a player with a much higher ceiling

Indy sends: Heild
Indy receives: THJ
Why: gets a slightly lesser talent but someone that is familiar with RC who is on a much more team friendly deal

Atl sends: Collins, Gallinari
Atl receives: Barnes, Bagley, Bullock

Why: Offloads 2 big contracts, improves defense, and gets a slight upgrade in shooting
I’m starting to think our big move may be fortifying our defense by taking Josh Richardson into out TPE…
