All the buzz means we aren't making any moves.  Second verse, same as the first.

I'm not sure we'd even be going down this path if it wasn't for the Gunn tweet.  But, it is a fascinating threat to unravel.

These insane rabbit holes/pipe dreams are half the fun of being a fan.  The trade deadline and the first day of free agency are two of my favorite holidays each year
Powder, y'all talking about powder again.  I didn't think a relapse was possible this year.  Cool

Nico powder > Donnie powder

Are we sure about that?  Nico powder got us THJ again.  Don't think its Nico powder or Donnie powder.  It's Cuban powder and has not changed.
More Gunn Twitter action.  She liked this tweet that replied to her google-eyes earlier

As I said, she overheard something like Holmes and pick to Charlotte for Oubre Smile

Gallinari is past his prime but it's like using Reggie Jackson as a pinch hitter. Sure there are younger guys who have higher batting average. But sometimes (in the playoffs) there's no replacement for experience.

Honestly, this is all academic anyway ... Gallo vs Bagley isn't a real thing ... but if I'm trying to win a first round playoff series with a young savant like Luka, give me the wizened vet 100 times out of 100.

Great post. To go all the way - which wave do have chance for - can be made more likely by addition of vets. We dont have much vet presence. In playoffs a vet will produce way better than Green or Chriss etc.
Lots of complicated trade ideas, which is fine, but to me a simple trade which makes sense for both teams is Maxi for Holmes.
I’m not giving up on this scenario in some form.

DAL - John Collins, Richaun Holmes
SAC - KP
ATL - Harrison Barnes, Maxi Kleber

Well, I agree that the deal that goes down (if one even does) will definitely be more simple than most of ours. I think that point rings true, for sure.

...but I don't think the deal above makes sense for the Mavs at all.

The good part of this season has pretty much coincided with them finally not forcing two centers on the floor at once. I'd say your idea locks them into just that, whether the 5th starter is Powell or Holmes. They'd be equally bad as partners for Porzingis, imo, and for that matter, they'd be awful playing together, so you'd be left with 3 bigs, none of whom could really play together.

The rumor is that the Mavs are looking for perimeter shooting. I suppose you can choose not to believe it, but it seems plausible to me. It seems like trading Kleber for a non-shooter is the opposite of that.

Well I'm really just past caring who fits with KP when he's not even on the floor half the time. I care who fits with Luka and Holmes is that guy. Either KP works with that or he can get traded later (my preference).
Well if there are still teams dumb enough to take Harris' contract I guess KP is moveable as well.
