I think Beverley is a player who would make the team better, and probably more so than Powell (given my thoughts that you already know about the roster), so I'm intrigued by this.

Having said that, while Beverley would certainly be a body to rotate with Luka/Dinwiddie at guard, I'm not sure he fits the need of offensive creator. He'd certainly bring a "defensive specialist" element, and in a more playable package than what they currently have with Ntilikina. Still, Ntilikina is here already, so I'm not sure point of attack defender is a 911 situation the way 3rd creator is.
Bog is the real prize even at 33. I would be trying hard to get him

He seems like a taller Timmy to me.  Similar offensive profile and poor defender.  Is that really what we are looking for?

I like Bogdanovic a lot.

Also, count me in the camp that doesn't think Conley is washed yet. I'd say he's got more than Dragic left if you can handle the contract.

Man, idk...I get how high the bar was at the beginning of the summer, but where things are today, I'd say what they're looking for is 1-2 more non-centers who can be trusted in the playoffs.
Count me in the camp that is just plain not interested in the mediocre players in UTA nor interested in trading with Ainge. I like the players in DAL better than the players in UTA. And the one or two I would take, I am not even remotely interested in the price that Ainge is going to ask.

He isn´t a terrible defender. Just cannot switch onto smaller guards. In the past he actually was pretty solid against most wings. With an outstanding series against the Clippers (Kawhi + PG) last year.

I agree...in situations where there currently is a Dallas equivalent.

You are not getting Bojan without sending out at least one of your trusted playoff players.  I'm with Kamm on this one.  The Ainge price keeps any of these players from being interesting.

I think he is at least an average defender and offensively he is miles ahead of THJ

Well, if I've got to send out one of the top 6 then I'm not interested. Simple as that. I hope the Mavs aren't assuming what Ainge's asking price is, however.

The exception might be Conley at two years at over $20mm.  Is he a positive asset?  The issue is I don’t see THJ in Utah and trade matching Conley is tough without him.

Powell straight up doesn't work. I'd rather have THJ than a declining Conley. I'd pass

Man, I'm the biggest THJ homer here, and even I'd do that deal. I think you might be underrating Conley. No idea if such a deal is even possible though.  Like Dan said, I don't see what use a blown up Utah team has for THJ.

THJ as the primary focus of an offense would be a good tank commander and once you get past this year, his contract becomes an asset.

I think its a tough call.  He would make a ton of sense here, and nobody would think twice about Dragic if this happened.  He was very good in the regular season last year as well.  But man he looked cooked in that playoff series and he is at the falling off a cliff age.  I probably do it and hope he hangs on.  It makes too much sense from a roster construction standpoint.
Did DSJ attend a Shawn Marion jumpshot camp? Looks completly broken.

Marion's was ugly in a different way.  It almost looks like DSj is cradling the ball down to his wrist on the shooting hand.
