I think Kuzma's availability is greatly overrated. I think WAS likes him, and intends to keep him and re-sign him with their Bird rights.

Totally. Hence the Hachimura trade.
Well after a tough road trip, I was hoping the Mavs would respond against some good teams and go at least 3-1 in this four game home stand.   They need a win tonight to go 2-2.  Ouch.  After tonight they go to @ PHX, @ Utah, home at Detroit and home at New Orleans.  They really need to find a way to go 3-1 in those four games.

The next games after this is @Golden State, @ Utah, @ LAC, @ Sacramento, @ Sacramento.  This could be the part of the season where we come to conclusion that we will be in a fight for the playin game.  Dallas needs to figure out their road woes....and fast.

Since my last post, there are now two Western Conference teams with winning road records - barely - Nuggets at 11-10, and Sacto at 11-9.

I think it's pretty optimistic to even hope for break even on the road.
I wish someone on Shark Tank would tell Cuban off when he goes out. Say “We didn’t want sexual harassment and poor talent evaluation in our hiring group anyway”.

Interesting (and perhaps revealing) response by Kuzma to the the above comments by SD ("For them, it’s a showcase. They're over there trying to get paid, not trying to play winning basketball. For a team that has real aspirations and has an MVP, went to the conference finals last year, we have to be better to a man."):

Kuzma: "The funny thing is they don’t play winning basketball"

He's right. This team, the way they choose to play, it's a joke. They don't do ANY of the things it takes to win - there's not really team ball (it's Luka playing ball hog one-man carnival), there's no defense, there's no rebounding.

We’ve allowed 121 points a game over the last 10 games. That’s so gross.

In the last 9 games 122.4 pts/100 possessions. Mavs are 115.1 pts for the whole season.

The Spurs are 119.9 pts for the season, dead last in the NBA. So the Mavs are playing defense 2.5 pts worse than the worst defensive team in the NBA as of late.

3-8 incoming? 28-32 for the season?

Or worse. We have 7 games before the trade deadline. 5 on the road (Phx, Utah x2, GS, LAC).

Those could all be losses. As well as the home game against the Pelicans.

I dont see us making a move until deadline day, which is an off day for us. The next 7 games may very well change the future of this franchise. One way or another.

That looks like a man who is really happy to be part of this team....

If we want to connect some dots, that video tells me that even though Luka has successfully complained McGee out of the rotation, JaVale is still somehow the pregame team "leader" which is obviously a complete joke. The annoyed feelings might not go far past that.
