Agreed. Either NYK or DAL might come out of this with their pants down.

My read on that tweet was that it was early speculation, before the three team was common knowledge.

AND...Detroit GOT the player drafted at 11.

I think it's possible NY is RECEIVING something else in the deal as of yet unannounced, but DUREN (#11) was the payment for taking Walker's money.

Sure. From a perspective that is true. So NYK will still get a future 1st from OKC when the dust settles.

I'm a bit stunned how "head in the sand" a good bit of this board has been about the possibility of a Brunson bolt.  Were we not fans when Nash left and Jordan didn't (the first time)?

I suspect they got some future compensation from OKC in addition to moving Kemba.

Being the head of the snake gives Jalen the best opportunity at getting a massive contract next time around.  Jalen is also a winner so I am sure he has the confidence to think that he can make any franchise a winner.  /other side of the coin

Yeah, that's what I'd expect. AND THAT IS BANANAS!

#11 for a salary dump and a future 1st? Man, that had better be a SURE lottery pick with no protections whatsoever.

CRAZY. Even if they GET Brunson (they won't)...CRAZY

That's a little better..."conditional"...hmmm.

I think they will get another highly protected 1st.....so two protected firsts to NYK.
If I am DAL I am starting to consider whether trading into the draft to grab Liddell is feasible.

They're getting 3 future 1st's from OKC.
