Wow, Jalen Williams got the invite over Liddell....really hope Liddell slips to #26.
Just read that Mavs are finalizing a deal for Christian Wood!

I will do a signature bet with @"KillerLeft" that the Mavs DO get a draft pick on June 23. With suddenly clearing of 3 roster spots they will be buying at least a 2nd rounder IMO.

Or Pinson, Dragic, and tMLE wing fill out the roster.
Good trade...no time for a late 1st rounder who won't even see the floor until 2 years from now at the earliest. Hopefully still have Moses Wright on a 2-way to develop some more.

Do you think the Mavs could use #26 in a package to get a starter?

The Mavs used #26 to get a starter. Well done, Nico.
I would not have much hope the Mavs getting a pick in the top 40 with their assets left over...and that is ok.  I said the same thing last year and the Mavs either couldn't make a deal or weren't interested.   In the 40's will Patrick Baldwin slip?  Probably not, but maybe.  Wendell Moore, Kendall Brown, Keels, etc?  There are also 4-6 centers I like and a handful of them will be in the 40's.

Unlike last year (I believe), Dallas has worked out/met with players in this range.  Maybe they are just doing due diligence, but something to consider.  This front office is more deliberate than the previous one I believe.  So I would take note who they have met with/worked out who could be in the 40's range.

Would love either of them in the 40s. Also Koloko or Kamagate. Even Kessler if those two are gone.
As much as I would love to see it a pick in the 30s is unlikely. Don´t think cash alone gets it done. Time to look at the late 2nd round options. Maybe undrafted guys. Draft class still features intriguing center options. Especially if we are looking at the typical development arche type. Raw athleticism and outstanding physical measurements. International players like Nzosa, Diop and Badji.
Last year it cost $2m to buy pick #53. As high as the payroll already is, I wouldn't be surprised if they focus only on undrafted players again.

Thanks for sharing.  Pick 53 was the pick Philly bought right?  There are so many trades in the second round it is tough to keep track.    Dallas just doesn't have much to offer.   Maybe if they still had their second round pick they could offer that and cash.

I think there is a better chance this year they get in the mid to high 40's than last year but probably not likely.

I don wonder if Dallas has interest in bringing back Moses Wright and even Eugene (who got hurt last year but showed some promise).  If there is interest in one or both, that would probably impact if they want to buy a pick too.
If they can get Nsoza with a mid 40s pick, they should be all over it.

I am still intrigued with Moses Wright, hope they bring him back to earn a roster spot. Great size and length with explosiveness.

Had a great final year in college and killed it in the G-League: 20 ppg, 9 rpg, 2 apg, 2 bpg, 1 spg on 56/40/66 shooting splits in 29 games.

I still want to give Eugene O a shot. I liked his ball handling ability in such a big body. Gave me Green vibes.

100% on board with that. I think he has shown a lot of promise in his short time with the Mavs.
Question would be if is still be eligible for a 2-way contract, after being waived by us?
