Could you be more specific? All I said, was I don´t like Cuban being the strong decision maker now. Also I think, we can be sure, that RC would have stayed, if Luka really was advocating for him. McMahon and many others have reported a eroding relationship between the two. Both of this means, we´re watching Cuban serving his superstar right now, which I don´t think is a good thing, even if Luka demands it (which he might not). Then I showed doubts, that KP will ever live up to his contract implying that getting rid of him might have been a better way to shake up things, instead of hazard the consequences of losing Rick by firing Donnie.

I hate those fake screens he sets with zero contact.

His work with our national team was amazing. He was able to give all players the right roles. But he also had Dragic who everyone listened to.

He failed badly in Phoenix, though
I'm not crying over Donnie's departure. IMO, he has rested on his laurels far too long. FA offseason strategies never seemed to work and he was caught having dinner with MC and RC a few years back when everybody got signed within a few hours of FA opening up. DAL needs a GM who can sell the team to prospects and not rely on his billionaire boss to do it for him.

RC was part of these offseason strategies, but I don't know if he was just an advisor or actually helped with planning strategy.

Either way, it could be a breath of fresh air.

I wonder though if RC was expecting the GM job after Donnie and left when MC said "nope".
I wonder if Stotts is someone who would be considered as the HC candidate? Guess it depends on the GM.
I'm all for stealing TOR's GM. Pay him whatever since it doesn't affect the cap space.

I guess Luka's probably wondering WTF?! But Dirk went through Don Sr. to Avery to RC to hit his potential, so this isn't a terrible thing. Especially if the personnel gets improved.

Kind of a side note...It's good the timing is now when there are options for HC and GM, rather than a month from now when the top candidates have been hired by other teams.
Kammrath as HC.
KillerLeft as GM.

EDIT: Omahen to replace Voulagris as analytics position.

Interesting idea. Has that guy coached Luka before?

Me too. In my opinion it’s the number one issue that keeps Luka and KP from really working as a duo. That and KP‘s health.

Not really. Dame wanted Jason Kidd.

I want to start a fire the GM thread before we even know who it is because we will hate them eventually.

Dang I never expected this to happen, either.

I‘m 100000% sure we had to change something quickly or otherwise the Luka-era would’ve come to a slow, but steady end here over the next years.

Now everything depends on who they bring in. I hope Mosley/Fin aren’t the directions we’ll go. We need to ace this now. Ujiri + a proven coach.

I would off myself
All I'll say is, Cuban better have a damned good plan to become a contender within 2 years, because Luka is not gonna sit around and watch a toxic organization repeatedly immolate itself. Like, do you think it's lost on Luka that his peers are currently enjoying contender status while his own team is stuck in mediocrity?

Everything will be judged by the results, and if things don't change, this is the beginning of the end of the Luka Mavs and probably the franchise as a whole.

Wow. This is like the end of the series where everyone shows up. Good to see ya pal!

All because someone stole Donnie's red Swingline stapler!

Flattered, bud.

Pretty sure those are the three most stubborn, opposing viewpoints you could possibly put together, but if you make Kamm the analytics dude, I'm up for it.

It's all chaos right now, anyway.
