Good question.

Jusuf Nurkic is totally the missing piece we need next to KP!

Except Nurkic isn't going anywhere anytime soon.

Haven't mentally crossed that bridge yet, let me give it some thought.

Omer Asik again?

I did like him. Ha!

But seriously, I do not think there is any big that has the talent for me to be interested as the next player. My interest and focus right now is getting a third hyper-talented player on the team.

Not sure who that will be and may be nobody? J Rich isn't star-level but he's really good and a good fit. THJ looks good, I feel like Rich/THJ are going to be a good combo. Maxi/DFS are glue guys. Green has a floor of glue guy and a higher ceiling as like a good starting guard/forward. I am not sure I want powder spent on anybody who isn't a sure thing when you have talented guys that fit on the team already. Maybe we just keep assembling those guys and have a deep roster. Luka and KP already provide a lot of star-power.

I am guessing Isaac who is a board favorite. He had a bad injury but that's the only thing that makes it even slightly possible the Mavs could have a shot at him. Had he not had an ACL injury he would have been locked up immediately.

I still think its unlikely Magic would let him go but he's also a candidate for an overpay to steal him away. He is not a huge numbers guy I don't think but you can see the ability there. Defensively he is a monster. I recall him giving KP fits when they played. So if he's not a max player and he's coming off a big injury, you would think there's room in btwn whatever his value should be to max to overpay him. You would also have the ability to negotiate with Orlando to offer up assets to make it interesting for them. I would definitely love a 24 yr old Isaac next to KP for years to come. Issac isn't going to blow you away with huge stat lines but I think stuff he does helps you win basketball games.

Lineup would be something like Luka, Rich, Isaac, KP, + 1 other starter. You might have to give up a piece or two including DFS or Green to make it happen.

Isaac is by far the biggest talent Orlando has. They are not giving up on him unless he will never be healthy or if he demands max contract. But then, why would we want him. As much as I would like this to happen, I just don't see it. The only option perhaps, if we do something Indiana and Milwaukee did with Brogdon. Threat max offer, which makes Orlando rather take some assets in a trade (which allows us to resign JRich). But again, are you really comfortable paying max for him? If I would be sure he can remain healthy, than yes. But his history doesn't prove it.

Right I am not sayings its likely but its at least plausible. If someone wants to offer Issac a max deal or somewhere close that would be a lot to pay for someone who isn't a max player. Maybe even 20 mil a year is enough to pry him away. No idea really. But since he's not a max player then you have some ability to overpay to get him should the Mavs or anybody want to steal him away.

It's over.
Oladipo is arguably best FA now in that rich 2021 FA crop. Watched him yesterday and he looked good (I know his first two games were crap).
I understand why players would take the certainty of guaranteed millions during this pandemic

Only a crazy person would turn down an extension for the uncertainty of free agency
