You can see what the Mavs FO people have been saying about him.  His production in the GLeague improved as the season went along as he acclimated to the jump in competition.  I don't know if it comes year 1 - especially if they swing a trade that affects his position - but I think he is a contributor by year 2 if he can play even average levels of defense.  That shot looks pure.
Watching OKC vs Utah summer league. Chet Holmgren if he can stay healthy and gain some muscle, is going to be a problem. He's got nice ball skills for his size and length, and can shoot the 3. He has 6 blocked shots in 3 qtrs for a summer league record.

Man if only Hardy had more vertical explosiveness I would be irrationally excited about him offensively.

I am going to watch his D closely in the SL.
Chet has always been a relentless competitor on both ends.  You could see that in his HS games. He will gain strength and stamina too. Injuries with those skinny legs are the only concern.

Yeah the injuries are a concern.  In the highlights last night he made a pass that lead to a basket but tumbled down.  I thought he was hurt at first.

He is a tough kid though.   I didn't spend a ton of time looking at the top of the draft.  I saw the Duke kid the most, followed by Chet.  I didn't watch much of Jabari.   I had Chet #1, Paolo # 2 and Jabari # 3.   But it was more a first glance analysis and not a detailed evaluation.

To continue the conspiracy talk...trade already prepared?

Maybe. But doesn't even need to be "prepared" for them to hold him out IMO. Just possible to likely.

I really, really think there is some significant movement still coming this summer.
This years version of Feron Hunt who has some eye popping highlights is Jalen Lecque.   I am guessing there is something missing but man can he jump.   Still only 22 years old.

Thing is 1 of those shots is against Pau Gasol and the other is against Vic Law.

Good first game from Chet, still think he's gonna have a tough time in the league.
